I'M at about 70% mentally which is a good thing. Now to find the time. To finish wiring. The Harley so I can get back to the Vette project.
The wife's SheShed took twice as long as anticipated by the contractor

70% is better than 50%.
I wish you were closer.
I miss working on my Harley’s.
They were simple and fun to build.
I'm getting the brain in shape to finish rewiring the Harley (still adding relays to each elec. component which means instead of 12 different wires-I am dealing wth 48 wires....similar to installing C3 headlight relays)
Today's house-project was wiring an additional HVAC relay to an Inline Duct booster fan to force a/c thru 30 ft. of new ductwork.....whew!

A Shovelhead in a Softail frame......I always thought that would be a cool combination. Technology from different Harley generations put together. Nothing cooler than a Shovel.
I totally agree but you can get real spoiled with the 103”, balanced twin cam motor with no leaking oil.
I also fought the urge for a fuel injection HD until I bought a new one in 2006.
It was real nice, but I went back to a carbureted 2003 and never missed the FI.

The fuel injection in 2006 was a significantly different animal than the later FI units. I road a 2009 Ultra Classic TC 96 for 90K miles. I'm not afraid of a carburetor, but I'd never give up the EFI on a new or newer bike

I built thr frame using solid roundbar rather than steel tubing...I didnt want to deal with the possibility of frame rot. I can convert it to a hardtail by installing an adjustable link in place of the air shocks.

Me like oil leaks...and rebuilding carbs every 20 years

I MAY keep this one if the spine can handle it ...built it 24 years ago...new carb kit 4 years ago.
FYI....if the front tire wears on the left tread....install a .030" thick brass shim on top of the axle on the right side/and visa versa
While my wife is focused on her own project/craft room, I found a diagram of the Chevy engine bolt pattern.
Now I can modify the roll-around engine cradle in order to convert it to a test stand that will also support the transmission..
I also bought 10 ft. of oversize square steel tubing to raise the cradle engine mounts 2 ft. so I can store a battery and charger on a "shelf" under the engine and still be able to remove the oil pan for cleaning/painting....
Below is the "Over-kill" test stand I buil for my 350 sbc street truck.......
countertop looks like fantasy. a quartz-granite-marble mix. have you sealed it? the installers can not be bothered. they just put them in and take your money...

derek......i was robbed...it was supposed to be real !
but they did seal it and gave me the pint of sealer
I managed to find the engine cradle in the garage and the square tubing
(I think i saw the Vette under some cardboard boxes seriously.)
I'm offering big bucks to my daughter to help clean out the Vette garage so I can actually work on the car.

So...speaking of Fantasy...if she tells me to get that headlight assembly off the island.....
I'll say...."Wanna trade places with the headlight."
Holly cow, we just completed the remodel of our home.
Two new kitchen and two new bathroom counters.
Does my new workbench count?
Kristine’s mom is in Washington State for two weeks.
We better get busy and it’s a good thing we just retired.
Oh boy, Kristine is calling me into the kitchen already.
I won’t be posting any photos so don’t ask!
