71 Green 454....good story. I avoid downtown N.O. May thru August !
My little brain did NOT want to think today but I managed to connect 4 constant HOT wires....the Siren wiring...and routed the Remote-Start wires to the Neutral Safety switch
8 wires maxxed me out
I followed members advice and ran a ground wire from the battery to the console mount bracket....
More member advice...I bought some classic car vinyl wrap for the new wiring......
I moved the loose harness off the floorboard and zip-tied it to the airbox.....then I was able to position the Remote Start wiring so I can tie it into the Neutral Safety switch...also added a dedicated 12V constant hot from the battery to the console area...
Trust...but Verify...
The marker lights/parking light Alarm harness works!
The tail lights worked with the Alarm harness (to my surprize)......

My Mother sold all my Father's electronic/ham gear without so much as a "Ed, anything here you'd like?". YES! MUM! I would have loved ... (cool transformer, way cool spark coil, and the Simpson)
What I got:. The 5 meter transceiver he built and had in his Model A (it's a museum piece, can't use it today), and a nice variac (it was in the barn).
My Dad has a Simpson like that sitting in the garage.
I remember using it as a kid.
He is passed now, but someday I’ll have to remember to bring it home and put it back into service.

Do that soon...the battery can corrode and eat away the wiring...I spent an hour+ cleaning/replacing/re-soldering wires
Today is my Day Off...Naturally the PTSD slacked off and my brain is operating at about 60%......70% would be terrific.
(I had better re-check my DIY wiring notes for 50% mistakes)
There are three roll always filled with tools in the garage and the cabinets are filled with others.
By brothers don’t want them.
My dad was a Crew Chief on a bomber in WW11 and worked for Hughes Aircraft in the Space Division for over 30 years.
He has all kinds cool tools packed away.
I’m pretty sure there is a couple 8mm’s up in a closet in the house, with a projector and screen.
As kids growing up, home movie nights were the worst.

A few years ago I Dad's 8mm films 'repaired' and copied to DVDs. Some cool stuff. Skiing in Tuckerman Ravine, his travels over the US, Canada, Alasaka, Mexico while with the US Coast and Geodetic Survey in the late 30's into the mid 40's. There's a little with my Mum, but nothing of kids.
A tool treasure trove to be certain! And history! I got a few more of my Grandfather's tools because my cousin's grandkids didn't want any.. Hard for me to comprehend!
Below is an internet pic of the crank bit my F.I.L. used until 1976 when his son bought him a cord drill. I asked for it after his death/son-in-law let me have it....
