Tony, how did you and Rescue Rogers get the "Veteran" label under your name? Those are cool SS door trims that you bought. GM originals are just mild steel that can rust. And when I was in construction, we would say don't force it, use a bigger hammer! You are doing great progress on your Vette, Tony. Lou.

Somebody caught us throwing a screaming fit about Viet Nam/Government/Politics/Etc. and had a Moderator label us as crazed Veterans.
The SS door trims are going to get stripped/polished/clearcoated...if we are talking about the same thing.
Bigger Hammer....so you read what I did to get the blower motor running again!
Progress....the PTSD slacked up a little so I'm getting as much done as I can....it lasted/stomped me for 9 months! Hows Mrs. Linda doing?

While I'm here....my other can of worms is opened: I'm pulling the engine/Xmsn to clean /repair/
repaint the firewall/repaint the engine and transmission-Xmsn.
Time to remove some things in order to remove the engine-trans. tomorrow..........

Removed the distributor to prevent cracking the coil housing.......

Removed the Lo-Tech fuel regulator/supply/return.......

Remove the too-small Trans. cooler...in the trash it goes...will buy a bigger/better one this week.......

Removed the alum. tank/heater hoses/valves...and radiator hose.....

Removed the engine mount-bolts/exhaust dog-leg pipe that connects to the passenger sidepipe......

Removed the exhaust dog-leg that connects to the driver sidepipe.........

Removed the TH400 shift bracket and kickdown wiring........

Removed the starter/remote start wiring........

STILL NEED TO remove the alternator wiring/transmission mount bolts/drive shaft......
I think I'll remove those too-tall valve cover hold-downs........How about that modified aftermarket fan for my top-secret engine cooling system.....

I will remove the engine/trans. tomorrow if God says the same.

Looks great Tony.
You are getting a lot done.
Are you hanging all those parts up on your parts peg board?

Hey, I am a crazy Vietnam veteran too!!! I feel left out guys. Linda is officially half an android now, got a new hip six weeks ago. That makes all three joints on her left side are metal due to arthritis.
How is your wife doing? Lou.

That's a familiar sight.

I think if you pm Savewave the moderator he can add the Veteran below your name. He may want a dd214 or a VA card or something
It's one of the moderators...I will see if I can remember.....

It doesn’t look like you have enough room left on the pegboard for the engine and transmission.

Geezz, I don't know. I find my car goes better if I leave the engine and transmission in it!

Cliff"s:
What happened was...I was feeling very tired for a couple days after removing the engine/trans.
No big deal.
I got up Saturday a.m. to go to parts store for degreaser/etc.
Never made it to the garage (no warning--"lights out")
Woke up Sat afternoon at the local hospital/bleeding stomach ulcers/good thing I never got to the garage.
2 units of blood and a unit of saline.
I'm home now but still too weak to go into the Vette garage.
I guess I'll put a wireless camera in the Vette garage to avoid "withdrawals"

Holy CRap!!!!! That happened to my buddy because of a daily tylenol tablet that he took before eating...the Doc said there was a tablet shaped hole in his stomach. The camera is a good idea as the wifey can keep an eye on you as well if she hasnt heard any colorful words in a while
