Annnnd we have a winner! The passenger widow glass took a month of on-off frustration to get the glass edges sealed.
The driver's glass took ONE/! won hour to get the edges sealed evenly against the weatherstripping.
I will add a 3/16" thick rubber strip between the soft top frame and the horizontal upper weatherstripping...just for fun...I also need to reattch the corner of the header weatherstrip where I accidentally tugged on it to adjust the pin location in the softtop...
Now I need to work the wrinkles out on the soft top in the pic...restaple the softop to the frame...screw the trim weatherstrip and SS tips on the trim.....
Thanks men for all the help!

Once the window tweaking is done and the seat is installed with new padding I will drive it around the neighborhood a few times to loosen up the calipers and u-joints
Nice, congrats on tackaling that beast! What is the next big hurdle? Is the nose painted yet?
OOOPS....your thread reminded me to install my shifter console (I already replace the kinked control cables). Nopity on the nose paint.I still have a day of fiberglass repair before I fit it to the frame-firewall.
You guys got me wanting to pull the engine/transmission-strip the old paint and slap some new paint on them.
Annnnd while I"m at it....remove the ?74?cc heads and install the 64cc heads. While that's drying I'll clean/repair the firewall-engine bay.
DON'T let me drag the above out 6 more months!
I'm headed to the garage to do the console, driver seat, door panel, and add the 3/16" shim to the upper horizontal window weatherstrip fo a snug fit at the edge of the glass.
I need to do the 10 year-5,000 mile oil/filter change also after painting-reinstalling the engine the engine
(I'd better send all this to the office printer ........NOW.
Thanks caskiguy...you guys bailed me out!
More stuff repaired-the 3/32" dia. rivets arrived a week early...so I'm putting them to use/good thing I ordered a 100pc. pack.....
The felt strip on the right side gets riveted on AFTER the flat rubber trim piece is riveted on (don't ask)
This flat rubber Filler piece hides all the door adjustment screws and also fits against the horizontal top of the door panel and gets riveted FIRST (don't ask)......
The rivets that protruded in Step 1 and Step 2 were ground down to protrude only 1/32" so the felt strip would sit flat when it was riveted in place.
Now for a trip to the hardware store for mounting screws
Update: Things went according to plan....except I never got past step #2.
I managed to get the door panel that had been on the sawhorses partially mounted on the doorframe...then ran out of mounting screws. It's nasty and needs touching up but it's installed...I even found the door release handle which I was too tired to install.....
Taaa Daaa (as my recovery room nurse said).......

ONE question: The rear of the driver door glass sometimes "sags" about 3/8" from sealing against the upper weatherstrip. Most of the time the glass raises and seals evenly across the top edge.
When it DOES sag I can pinch the rear of the glass and pull upwards and feel the glass rise into place.
ALL the rollers etc are new/in good shape. The "tilt" slider which is bolted to the lower rear of the glass moves freely and is installed correctly.
Is it possible I have the forward channel and the rear channel out of parallel which is causing a slight binding at the rear glass roller?
Read it on the other thread. Great job Tony. Will you be taking it for a spin today before you start swapping heads?
I don't know what's up with the window droop. Maybe the motor is loose
Manual windows....
I'm outta' town and will measure the roller channels "toe-in/out" tomorrow.
The passenger window gave me the most trouble, but it has no droop at the rear...go figure.
One more day of "turtling" thru the bugs and I should be able to reinstall the wheels and drive through the neighborhood....(old pic below)
Tell me about it. We just now returned from our trip. I tried to make some progress, but....
Did you ever get tired pf retightening a door release handle that is held in place with a sheet metal screw
NOT any more...1/4"-20 tpi machine screw and a tap did the trick....
Try again tomorrow to get more done.
EDIT TONITE: More Stuff arrived tonight/afternoon. Dress-up Quarter trim at door....Soft top latch adjusting screws.....Hood latch screw bumpers.....

Time to experiment with trim pieces...I think I like the polished stainless look. I removed the paint with 400 grit to see if I could get a shine. I'll polish the piece with jeweler's rouge on a cloth buffing wheel and clear-coat it.
If it requires sunglasses to look at it I'll polish all the pieces using the same method
