This getting old can really suck at times. I have been getting some neuropathy in my hands, so my doctor had me get an MRI of my neck. Was a passenger in a 58 Chevy that someone decided to put the trunk in the back seat three days before I went into the Army back in 67. I looked at the MRI and I could see the problem. Going in next Wednesday to have them cut my head off. Ok, maybe they are only going to remove bone pressing on the nerve column at C2-C3-C4. I needed to get it done quickly so that I can recover before leaving on a Corvette related trip to Hampton Roads Virginia on August 2. Hope that I will be recovered in time to go, as we are going whether I am recovered or not. My brother calls me Bionic since most of my spine is metal and both knees have been replaced. I keep trying to do what I could do 40 years ago, but it is getting a lot tougher.
I recently read on Facebook, that the good thing about old age is it doesn't last that long.
Not certain that's good news.
I put off working on my car last night because to many parts hurt to much.
Hang In there!
Thanks Everyone....sorry about the late reply but I had a setback so the Drs. did the blood test for cancer.
My blood is "clean" and am back on track again.
I am to the point that I'm getting the urge to spray the Trans. with Degreaser a couple times to get it ready for a couple coats of rattlecan Aluminum (for entertainment purposes only ). It looked good on the 4L60E that I'm rebuilding.......
Congratulations Tony,
Clean is always good news.
My doctor just cut another bit of skin cancer off my left shoulder.
Too much playing with boats in the sun in my younger days.
Nothing near what you went through and I figure I’m lucky.
Thanks a Bunch c1nicole....this is the 2nd time in 5 years doctors have diagnosed me with bone or blood-related cancer.
I'll either finish my Corvette or go to Heaven to meet Jesus and my 20 year old son Blake....WIN/WIN
I officially made it to the Vette garage today and took a few layers of crud off the TH400 trans housing. I also degreased the engine bay "while I was at it"..
The trans needs some wire wheeling before an acetone wipe-down.......
The frame needs a good acetone wipe-down before painting......
The firewall still needs about 10 holes filled in. WHEW! Apparently I need to mfg some more red blood cells "while I'm at it"...

I’m glad to see you’re getting some work a accomplished.
I managed to get "a little bit" of work done.
Thanks O.C.B. I didn't "bounce back this time"...it probably was the 40lbs I lost along with 2 units of blood and 2 units of saline before the V.A. doctors got off their lazy A$$E$ and sent me to an off-site physician to find the source of bleeding (when you weigh 170lbs., losing 40 lbs.in 6 months is approx. 25% of your total body weight!)
Anyhow...I'll try to remove the small pockets of crud on the trans housing today and apply the 1st coat of paint.
After that tranny (gearbox) is pretty and looking good, reward yourself with some ice cream and start working on finding some of those lost pounds.
GOOOOD Idea...I'm trying to put the weight where it NEEDS to go (NOT where it wants to go )
The things that makes it so difficult to gain weight is certain memories returned from my Nam Combat Amnesia--You don't want to know!
20 more lbs to gain to be at my recommended weight.
