Doorgunner's '68 Convertible Project

Here is the other door....I can live with a few blemishes...…..

They DO look great....like the painter sprayed them with liquid black obsidian. The few blemishes are the reason for the $6,000 Daily Driver paint job. Zero flaws cost $12,000-$15,000 in South Louisiana.
I looked at the doors before he spayed the Black and I couldn't see one flaw in the prepared primered doors.
Now.....if everything would have gone perfectly my $6,000 paint would look like $12,000.
Still...I am completely happy with the overall look...…….
The first pic of the doors in the garage...…….
Testing the camera flash to see if it will wash out the blemishes.....it did........
This is actually a pic of the door paint....the "bright spot" in the center of the camera lens is a blemish reflecting the flash onto the lens......
This is another straight-on flash pic of the door paint....I am pointing to the pin-head blemish in the paint........
Maybe the rain will go away so the painter can finish the deck lid.
I wouldn’t worry about that little flaw.
After the first season you drive it you’ll find some tiny little flaw in it and if you paid for the $12,000.00 paint job, you’d be pissed off.

Here are two different views from the cargo area of my SUV/it's amazing how new paint collects every dust particle within 100 feet..............
I'm hoping the weather stays good this week for him to paint the door jambs/body rearward!

Anyhow........it's been raining for the last 24 hours...….the body may have to wait until next week
