I glued the Reflectix inside and out, then wrapped it in masking tape until the glue dries.....the stuff ought to work great for cupholders, too .....
Some finish sanding and chase the rivets nuts threads with a tap...by this afternoon the shifter repair panel gets stripped of the masking tape and I'LL start bonding it to the hole in the car tunnel.
Nice fiberglass work Tony.
Great as always.
Next thing you know you'll be screwing down the convertible top lid and glassing over the seams.[/QUOTE]
Funny you mentioned that. I do have plans to add sails to te removable hardtop to give it tne Coup- appearance wnen the hardtop is installed.
thanks OCB...its rough getting back in the groove!

LOL...I remember that!!!!
I remember thinking that you are so much better than I am at this and I would have never attempted to take on the project you have.
You're thread is always a good read and an inspiration.
I MAY be scoring a forward Sprag Assembly for my 4L60E I am rebuilding to replace my TH400....

Are you also going to add an engine to that coffee table so it'll move around the cave/garage under it's own power??
Thanks T.......the new Reflectix will make it nice and shiny/block engine heat/muffle engine-transfer noise
Back to the garage in a few minutes. I had to repair driver-side rusted kick-up where it is welded to horizontal frame....
1/2 of the weld has rusted away.
I may even weld anot upgrade brace from the inner part of the crossmember to the driver kick up for more support...I should have done it when body was lifted 8" for body mount replacement spacers.
I made a sloppy but sturdy repair where the frame meets the kickup.....I'll repair the hole in the kick up near the T/A pivot bolt and straighten out the sloppy weld when I feel better. The T/A support also needs a patch where I drove screwdriver through to check for a rust sandwich.....I used .200" thick mild steel flatware for strength.......

You need about a 5/16" to 3/8" weep hole in the bottom left corner correct ?
Looking good.
Btw, Happy Thanksgiving DG !

Happy Thanksgiving to you! (It's still a rough time of year for us missing Blake)
I'm thinking about a 7/16" hole since it's a restomod/I also deleted the 3/8" frame extension that normally goes past the vertical insert that receives the drain hole.....
the original drain hole on the passenger side had an inch of mud-clay blocking it closed.

Please explain the weep/drain hole idea. I think I sealed up my floor like a drum. Is that bad?
