I snuck/sneaked itno the garage to lower the radiator mount and adjust the angle to see if the hood clears the top of the radiator support.

The primer bled thru the Satin Black...ohh well...2 more coats will hide it....
Y U G L Y..... sandingm required.....the big block radiator needed some extra angle and needed sliding rearward a couple inches for the condenser to fit.....
The extra inch I added to the rear of the passenger fender gets the 1st rough trim to get the contour correct..........
The wheel is now centered in the wheel well (after 10 months)........
Once I sand the fender to door gap 3/16" wide and add body filler to the repaired fender arch this side will be done and gets prepped for painting.
The driver side fender needs lots of repairs but should go together easier now that I have a clue and can copy off the passenger fender.
THAT will teach me to remove a front clip that is aligned alresdy

UPDATE: I changed the DIY radiator support AGAIN so I can remove the Rad. from the front of the support without removing anything else. I still need to weld the driver's side half of thr DIY support in place now that the radiator is titled rearward enough for the hood to close (which it would not do today when I test-fitted the hood).

That weird looking experimental fan shroud worked well by drawing in ambient air from ducting (not installed yet), so I will DIY a custom shroud before dropping the radiator into the support....
The 2000 CFM Puller fan is installed on the reat side of the radiator. I will install a 2000 CFM pusher fan on the front of the condenser....
My friend Gary made me a piece of wall art......
Maybe I can wrap up the radiator work tomorrow

Dave

You guys told me to put a 10 second delay relay on the puller fan,,,works great...no alternator spike.

The b.b. radiator is installed.....AGAIN......
The A.C. condenser is fitted for an air gap between it ans the radiator core. I will have to remove the OEM supports from the condenser and fab 4 supports......
Tomorrow I will fab a new hot radiator air deflector shroud to send the radiator air directly under the engine crossmember.
I need to order some synthetic flexible duct tubing to draw ambient air from the headlite area.
Right now the hood has about 3/4" gap from the radiator upper support

Tony do you have a stock clutch fan behind the wash tub to draw in cold air for the motor?

ME TOO! bUT TOMORROW i HAVE TO FAB THE HOT AIR DEFLECTOR SHIELD THAT FITS BEHIND THE RADIATOR.
On my '34 street truck it was running about 200*F with a 180* thermostat so I added another radiator under the bed with a pusher fan and high volume water pump to cool things down (now I realize I could have added a puller fan to the front radiator along with the pusher fan rather than spending a day adding the 2nd radiator

ANYONE WANT TO TAKE A GUESS WHERE I BOUGHT THE NICE ROUND FAN SHROUD???
More news tomorrow (IF God says the same)
