Time for a cold one, looks good, was wondering about fit till I saw the side brackets, makes for a nice clean edge. Keep the pics coming!
Good luck
I will have to fiberglass all the cut edges for support/to prevent cracking/to make the edges look better.

It's worse than that.......once the grill assembly is set correctly and the opening is fiberglassed.....I GET TO INSTALL THE BUMPER BRACKETS AND THE CHROME BUMPER THAT'S HANGING ON THE PEGBOARD!

Why THANKS Lou.....you just saved me from another headache!
Looking Good Tony ,
Nice work you got going on with the grill .
Thanks....I've been reading modification threads for the last year and finally have the courage to give it a try. Members are giving me some great advice about making the process as simple as possible (good news for my PTSD brain).
So far..............pre-modification to present progress..........
I'll try to rough in the passenger-side grill and the center grill tomorrow.....the 2 chrome lower trim pieces should be here.

ZIO replied: Here are a few different angles Tony. Something specific and close up let me know and I will go down and take a picture. Hope these help.

Now I'll be able to do the final trimming before re-fiberglassing!

That's some great news about your car finally running good. A little tweaking like you mentioned and you'll be off to the races!
ZIO
I adjusted the float level and decreased the spark plug gap (sooty plugs).....which caused a need to adjust the idle air screws and the base idle rpm.
I drove the car and it has better throttle response (before, it was a little sluggish---similar to my Harley Davidson when I had it running too rich).....BUT when I looked at the sidepipe exhaust tips, they were completely black with soot.
So I removed the plugs and checked them for fouling.....THEY WERE NICE AND CLEAN/TAN-COLORED!
Then it HIT me.........."DUMMY!"
The soot in the exhaust tips was there because of the PREVIOUS RICH FUEL MIXTURE!
