LOL about the birds/add a squirrel to the back yard.

I'm making good progress.......only THREE YEARS behind schedule

Tomorrow I make the frame for the garage A/C unit.....may as well be cool while installing the insulation in the ceiling and walls

I know how you feel. A year and a half and I'm still a long ways from where I thought I'd be after six months.

We'll get it done! There are some great Members who provide information to help us.
The monsoons arrived here yesterday. That 3 foot-deep trench I dug 2 days ago now has 35 inches of rainwater covering the PVC pipe........

I know the feeling. I believe I'm at just over 3 years of actually working on the car and feel like I haven't done anything really. Heck, shes been off the chassis for over a year and the chassis has almost been back for a full year. I'm just now getting close to dropping the body back on the chassis. Body mount #4 cage nuts still need to be mounted and the rocker channels and body mount brackets still need to be wire brushed and painted with POR-15.

Progress is happening though, which is the right direction.

That's the main thing. That's one thing I've learned - no matter how discouraged you get, keep at it and it'll get done eventually.

Tony, there are only a few (thousand) things missing in your picture... All the dead termite bodies. We getting the rain here also, so I open the garage in the evening to cool down. Quickly have to close it because of the swarm...

I think it was a year ago that I raised the body enough to replace all the brackets/nut cages.

The swarm visited us last week....even the birds got aggravated with them! The Gulf Stream must be blowing them your way.

Mike ran the main power wiring to the mini-garage today, and I bought some insulation to install on the walls/ceiling while the monsoons are still here.......

Now..........WHERE to put a flatscreen?

After 4 hours of false starts/wrong width insulation/wrong receptacle for A/C unit/dialing in the correct air pressure on the new stapler so it doesn't BURY the staples in the studs I managed to get a few sections of insulation stapled in place.................

If everything went smooth you'd think something went wrong and made a mistake...
Good looking garage you're putting together.
I spent many years working without shelter so can appreciate a nice work area.

Ain't it the truth!

I shared the last garage with my wife/she made me buy a single car garage so she could have her "spot" back.

Same here.....it's weird having a space dedicated to a project!

Thanks! Since it's a single car garage I was able to use a wall unit A/C. I also bought it with 30% more cooling capacity than required for those August days in Louisiana.

The night-time V.A. meds are starting to wear off.....time to go to the garage and staple more insulation IN THE A/C'd 73*F garage
