Default Custom Spark Plug Wires

Always use protection - for those hot moments:

Bringing up the pressure one last time before the final distributor installation:

Pretty happy with this setup:

Default Front Toe

Poor man's approximate front toe-in adjustment. Left and right have the same distance to the side pipes. Front slightly narrower than rear. Total toe-in is about 3/32" if I remember well.

Default First engine start-ups and outings

The moment of truth came 12 years after the beginning of the teardown. The engine started right away!

I borrowed these from the Alpine:

All systems go after the first start-up:

(the A/F ratio sensor is not hooked up yet)

It came out of its coop and took off:

A neighbor caught me on my first outing - he loved it:

Came back to roost intact:

Oil pressure and coolant temperature are great; steering, starter, charging system, hydraulic clutch & brakes work fine. I adjusted the Wagner PCV valve & am still breaking in the engine. The reverse flow mufflers are just what I hoped.

Lots of fine tuning to do:
- The coolant leaks at the clamps level have been a pain in the butt. Maybe I finally took care of that yesterday - we'll see...
- My pinging light turns red sometimes for a second. I'm hoping it's just a matter of tuning the Sniper EFI.
- The bottom of the bellhousing hits my driveway - I'm thinking about raising the coilovers by a 1/4" front and rear.

Default Le plastique c'est fantastique

I introduced the two plastic cars for the first time. There was a bit of jealousy in the air.

French vs. American:

Light & nimble vs. heavy-ish & brutal:

Loud vs. quiet:

Front vs. rear engine:

But I love them both.

Thanks for taking a peek!

Congratulations on the first trip on the road.
Sounds like a huge success.
I agree that the front could come up a little, but overall everything looks awesome!
Who manufacturers your air cleaner lid?
It has a really nice design, plus it’s plain and black!

Thank you all. @OldCarBum , because I use a Holley Sniper, for the bottom I use Holley ZZZ 120-511 Holley Sniper EFI Air Cleaner Bottoms | Summit Racing. For the rest of the air filter assembly, I use Summit Racing SUM-G30010B Summit Racing™ Air Cleaners | Summit Racing.

Just a few pictures from a quick outing when the rain stopped for a short time:

I love the wheels you’re running.
I’m have my set sitting in boxes ready to install.
They look awesome on your car.
Mine are 17” x 8” with 4” backspace.
What size are yours?

See Three... two... one... lift off! - Page 24 - CorvetteForum - Chevrolet Corvette Forum Discussion OldCarBum. These are Minilites I bought in England: 15x10 (4 11/16" backspace) for the rear & 15x9 (3 13/16" backspace) for the front - the smallest backspaces that they offered in 2019. They fit the 1.5" flares pretty well.
Yours should look real nice on your car too!

Mine are true Minilites as well and I can’t wait to see them on my car.
