one more part found its way on the car....

next are the rear bumpers and brackets, I have to make sure the back half of the car will be level so that I can finish the door gaps and all other gaps.

Some progress on the car, I've finished glassing the rear of the tubs (officially all enclosed now) and I made some floor covers for the roll cage at the floor mounting points, followed by what I called a "lets wing it fiberglass covers" for them as well...one side done so far. The idea behind the cover is for the carpet ability to ride against it nicely and make it contour a bit. Hopefully it'll work as designed.

Too bad you're going to cover it with new carpet!

It looks good.

more body work, door gaps on pass side, fixed the fender corner that eas kicking up from what i believe a fender replacement... still some to go up front, had to thicken up the door a bit with layers og glass because i was basically out of adjustmenent: if i lined up the front the back would be out of wack (shimming out the front to line up with the fender would cause the back door line to not match with rear fender).

fixed the tonneau too, to line up with the door

Very nice, very nice. Great read.

Found your thread by searching for holly high rise installed in a C6 .....

I basically did the same thing after purchasing a "salvaged" C6.
Kinda wish I would have chosen a C3 as my vette fever started with the C3's.

Keep up the good work!

Not too much going on with the project, though I decided to go back to the stock hood and wiper door.... I had been on the fence about the long L88 hood, it looks great, but somehow I always found the wiper door to be a cool feature on its own. I also had decided to go L88 just in case I was going to do something different for induction but, I'm not and I'm sticking to the LS6 intake which fits the stock hood...soo...stock hood is back on now. Took the time to clean up the mechanism for the door and the wipers as well.

The other fun part I've been spending time on (read: drinking beer while looking at the problem but not really coming up with a good answer) is where or how to fit and intercooler. For that I had to mount my Black Magic fan, to get a true understanding of how much room I don't have.... (12 pack of pepsi is roughly the size of the water to air intercooler I would like to use...and it's gonna be tight, maybe even too tight that it might not fit, the actual size is about 1" wider which basically touch the pulley).
Been thinking not having an IC and go straight with Meth injection pre and post turbo instead....still drinking beer on that one for now lol

moving along, finished filling the tail pipe holes, and since there were no interests in my long l88 hood (forum or ebay) i decided to shortened it and use it. Just couldnt stand having to either give it away or let it sit for ever.

I think that technique is productive and I use it a lot. In fact it's an essential tool as it enhances your imagination. I keep it on tap right next to my Vette.

time for an update. Had to take some time off from it due to work and due to distal bicep injury, everything now takes 3 times the amount of time. None the less, i managed to mask the car mostly one handed and with the help of a good friend mixing primer and assisting me in general we got some primer on her today!

Is THAT the car that was in two pieces a couple years ago?

(Yep.....post #48....I just checked)

It's come a long way considering your other projects you've wrapped up.

going on 5 years now... in that time, finished and sold my 69 camaro, had a baby, a couple contract gigs with work... i'm ready for it to be done...i kinda see the light at the end of the tunnel... though i have a couple oopsies in the rear tonneau gutter area... easy to fix but "just another" thing... still have to paint doors, hood, tonneau cover and hard top and headlights, wiper door and rear grills... and wet sand lol
