Orange silicon is not compatible with gas .I learned the hard way used it the same way on a '75 once gas hit it turned to jelly . Permatex told me orange is for exhaust only .

Great work. I have a 78 with the same issue with the front brace bonding. What are you using to bond it back on?

I used 3M 38315 panel bonding adhesive.

After buying the driver side radiator support renforcement bracket at the absurd price of 75$ (shipped), i decided i'd fabricate my own for the passanger side (which is actually a bit simpler than the driver side)

The fabricated parts look great.....(I'm amazed at how much can be saved $$$$....and spent in other areas by fab-work)

I have an absurd amount of hours in this y pipe....funny part is, i had to re do it and switch it back to,the other side (yup was on the driver side before). The radius using the pass side merge were going to be too tight... So i'm back to my original plan of running a single 3" pipe behind the oil pan....i'll also will need to mod the firewall to make room for the down pipe.

Great project. Your turbo placement is damn near the exact same placement as mine. I just ordered the block huger headers as well to switch out from the truck manifold setup I was running. Subscribed.

Here it is. This is why I'm going with the block huggers and running the cross over under like your doing. The current cross over I have a feeling is causing some heat soak with my fans and causing a bit of volt drop. I'll be going in front of the engine to try and keep everything tucked up as high as possible. I've also since gone back to the normal spark plug wire setup instead of wrapping around the engine.

I also notice you still have the truck pan on your engine. I'm sure you've given it attention, but my f-body pan is the lowest point of the car currently and it has scraped before. Just something to think about.
