I have been wishy washy on which hood to use, still. I painted the stock one and put it on. I really like the simple look. I mounted the headlights too.
working on the "trunk" interior panels...creating as I go. Going to leave the center alum portion exposed (either polishing it or brushing it) and the side panels will be covered (vinyl or leather don't know yet).
Another good use of the steam rollers: panel shaping fitting some interior panels Cut some stand offs for the panels to attach to.

I love the way the stock hood looks on your car. It really compliments the front fenders, it just flows with the lines of that whole front end.
Today, made some brake lines for the rear and fitted the main brake line (front to back). The driver side is a stock line, I adjusted some bends. The pass side is actually the cross over line, which I cut and added some bends
Bracket for the hose is drying on the bench, it will attach to the third member. The rubber line worked out perfectly: the main line ends where it can reach with some slack. All I have to do is add an adapter and make a bracket where the rubber line will attach too. Talk about the luck of the draw and that one!
Some more easy stuff done today: LED tail lights (69 style). I also replaced the socket type connectors (mine were all corroded and broke on removal) with weather proof connectors.
One step at a time they say...
Master/booster is on, and all the brake lines are in hand tight for now (need rubber lines for the front still)
More wiring done today: dimmer switch installed and wired, headlight switch wired. Tail lights are all wired in, front lights have been run, cut and sockets put on, as well as the wiring for the electric actuators. Alternator 12v and harness ran to it (still need to do the pigtail) as well as the maxifuse wired in and perm installed.
Started FatMat installation, as the carpet arrived as well.
It's a little bit of everything but since I'm just a one man show, I tend to work on a couple different things at a time to avoid loosing my mind... such as today, wired in the dim switch and headlight switch (that was the goal for today) and started looking at the ignition switch, then my mind shut down, so I moved on the brake lines (little less tricky-ish)
I loved it.
I've seriously thought about selling everything I have for my 73 BB resto/mod and buying another Factory Five, 65 Coupe or another 33 Hod Rod.
The 35 truck looks awesome.
My 33 Hot Rod was by far the funnest project I have built.

that's encouraging for me! never done a kit car before...welding on non rusted out metal? what? I don't know if I know how lol (granted the vette is mostly glass but encompassing past projects lol)
