Good Luck with your project!...
I wish I had the time, money & space to do a frame off on my 73....
Regards, Mike
I cant afford it either Mike. I'm generating needed money in unique ways to fund my build. Also I am trading help to guys I know to get engine and tranny rebuilt as well as differential. I also made a deal on the paint job. A guy I know sandblasted the frame for $175, the primer was $36. I am doing as much as I can myself. That's where you guys come in. This doesn't happen without your help.

Hi JR73 everything looks real good and you are right about the forums help. We all need it from time to time if not daily. Good luck with your project.

Taking the rear end apart tonite and I ran into a strange piece.
Its like a 5/8" thick spacer between the diff and the leaf spring which looked stock until I cleaned it up and it appears to be a homemade flame cut spacer or shim. What I need to know, is this a recreation of a stock part or an add on?
This rookie is guessing it's an add-on to "raise the rear fenders". But it doesn't have a way/design to keep the spring-pack centered under the differential.

Thanks doorgunner, I kinda was thinking the same. Thats not the first bubu move Ive found on this car.
Been doing a little remodeling in my shop for more storage. You know how it goes, you start out by hanging a cabinet next thing you know you are gutting out walls and removing windows and running conduit but I managed to make myself stop so I am getting the diff ready for rebuilding. Had to remove 3 broken bolts first.

I sure know how that goes.. Last month I was blowing the main 30 amp fuse into the shop at the main Box where I pull power from. Last summer I had the feed upgraded to 200 amp but never ran the new wire to the shop panel so last month I trenched and ran a new 100 amp feed to the shop.. I no long have any issues plenty of extra amps..
