My baby is gone. Had a guy drive 700 miles in his motorhome to come and look at the car. Gave me a $1000 deposit to hold it until he came a week later. After a short drive and a 1hr inspection the deal was made. No dickering at all. Gave me FULL asking price. (knew I should have asked for more )
It was a GREAT 8 year run. Had lots of fun and met lots of good people and learned a whole lot too. It was great being on this site and couldn't have done 1/2 of what I did without being here. a HUGE shout out to WILLCOX here... thanx Ernie!!!!!!!!!!!!
At this point the car it no longer mine.
Here are a few of my favorite pics over the years.
And my ALL TIME FAVORITE when my Grandson had the car for Grad. There is a story to this and NO he did not get a ticket. Actually he didn't get pulled over. The other guy did. Grandson just stopped for the pic.
I won't be around much but will stop in now and then.
Hi s,
I'll bet you're sad to see it go!
I believe you'll really miss that car.
I''ll miss you driving comments and some those terrific pictures you posted.
Good Luck!
Regards,
Alan
You could always buy another. If you like to wrench, some projects out there can be had rather cheap. And you won't have to say good by.
Interesting comment about the selling price. The subject of what these cars are worth has come up lately. Many people believe we are under valuing our cars, and maybe your experience reinforces that.
Wow, my heart is in the bottom of my stomach. Must of been hard to watch it drive away. I hope it goes to a good home. All the best to you, sir. I hope you get another one, one day - keep in touch. BK3

Reason: Can't spell.
Thank you all for the friendly and sympathetic comments. I think the biggest thing I will miss is the fall photo shoots.
As for another car, there are two cars I will be keeping an eye on. There is an ‘82CE in New York that will keep me in a C3. And a 2000 FRC that is only a days drive away that is in pristine shape. I know this car well as it is my Bros. He says it is NOT for sale except to me if I want to “upgrade”. LOL
Bj1k…. No the new owner hasn’t seen the smokin’ tires or heard the Grandson grad story. He may hear the story in the future, as I’m sure we will be keeping in touch. The car is going to a very good home and a much longer driving season.
Dang Clifford... I'm shocked... You just can't blow out of here that easy now, you'll have to poke around and keep us in check.
Just because you no longer have the car doesn't mean you can't roll around here... plus..... Remember, you and Rick are the newly appointed 68 wiper guys.
You take care Clifford and best of luck to you my friend.
