Looking good! makes me amazed at my Dad who rebuilt the t/as in shade tree mechanic conditions - not even an air compressor! He did some great stuff. Wish he was still around to consult and learn from!

Getting closer on rear suspension

Trailing arms are done, except dust shields and park brake hardware, which will wait until project gets closer to completion. Rounding up all new fasteners is taking a fair bit of time....

Shouldn't take too much longer to get the rear suspension together now.

Still have to replace all u-joints and paint axle shafts. And going to throw some paint on hub portion of t/a assys.

Hope to make some progress this week. Weather stinks and I'm backed up at work, so time is hard to come by right now.

Got to work on rear suspension some tonight.

Trailing arms on. Strut arms on. Spring on.

Little bit at a time. Rear suspension should be back together soon. Starting to work on rebuilding the front suspension. Both front lower control arms ready to be cleaned and install new bushings.

Looking good!

You probably already know NOT to torque the rear spring-pack down until the full weight of the car is on the rear spring.

I read that the threaded "ears" on the differential could crack if the bolts are torqued with no weight on the suspension.

On to front end parts now

New seats/door panels

Got front control arms almost all done. Realized that I never posted pics of my interior stuff. Got both seats and both door panels for $100 plus some spare parts I didn't want. Didn't realize seat bottoms were getting dusty in the shop, so I have to clean those and protect them better next week.

Rear brakes on. Front suspension done. Should be back to a rolling chassis tomorrow.

Have front calipers/rotors ready to go. Got my jeep steering box today. Will have steering linkage tomorrow. Moving quicker now.

Wheels on!

Back to a rolling chassis. Started to work on a plan for supporting body for underside work. Wont do much with powertrain for a month or so. Waiting for weather to break so I can get donor truck in to pull engine/trans/harness/etc...

Chassis work is about done for now. Time to get to work on the underbody and rocker channels. The channels rusted right at the body mount holes, otherwise just surface rust to clean and coat. Had to make a platform to support body from middle to give access to rocker channels.

Built my body support platform to lift body from the middle

It works

Now I can start on the next part of the project.

Pulled rear bumper, got it apart to clean&paint. Got new sending unit/pump in tank. Few more weeks and hope to have body back on frame.

So I've been slacking somewhat for a while. Got my motivation back now, so time to continue.

Got the body back on.

Rear bumper is all cleaned and painted, need to reassemble and install.

Time for some real fun now!
