Damn the economy must be bangin' in Lithuania...I should ship my 'Vette over there and shack up with some of my ancestors, I have heard some stories from older relatives from there.

You will have enough new parts to keep you busy thru the winter.

Wow! You are single-handedly keeping the Lithuanian branch of UPS and FedEx in business!

Must be like Christmas almost every day at your house, with all the deliveries.

I wish I could, but unfortunately I don't have an opportunity to do it by myself. However I believe I'll have the car completed by the end of this Autumn.

First galvanized, then painted:

Powder-coated A-arms and poly-bushings installed:

So did the wheel spindles and brake rotors installed.

And all suspension bolts and shims cleaned and galvanized.

Default Engine compression test

Engine.
OK, today a leak-down test was made and the news are not as good as expected to be. After all a Crate 350/290 engine was one of the reason that made me to decide to go for particularly this Vette.

So now I am between two options whether to rebuild and stroke this one, or to go for a new 300hp+ engine. Perhaps anybody can recommend me a particular best bang per buck crate engine?

Thinking about GM 350 HO...

Thanks.

As for the motor, despite I wanted to go for a GM 350HO, I found the same GM 350/290 Deluxe (that I got the car with) here in Europe, which I found a better deal.

The suspension and drive train look great. It is going to be a lot of fun when you get it all back together. How is the body coming along or are you waiting to finish what you are doing before moving on with the body? If you are then it is probably wise. There are many on here who would advise doing that as it better protects the body. If you get some stray oily spray on exposed glass you will play dearly for it when it comes time to paint.

Well the idea is to have the bottom, interior and engine bay of the body painted first. Then the body is planned to be mounted on this frame, the engine installed and only then the exterior of the body will be painted.
