I have just purchased a sweet looking 81 corvette and its on its way to australia ,it has fitted supossidly from new the full multi coloured stripes ,the raised , finned hood , full side skirt kit and nice full rear spoiler , i was told it was a kit fitted by "callaway" from new at a cost of $7,000. I can not find any info on callaway gear fitted before c4 can any one tell me if mine is possibly a true callaway or after market. Thanks paul
To my knowledge, Callaway didn't do anything with aero stuff in his early years (1977-84). He focused on engine performance items. But, whatever 'story' you got, the body add-ons look very good. I particularly like the way the rear wing blends with the car. The graphics are clean and they make the car look like it's ready to roll some surfers out to the Aussie coast.

No Callaway Corvette was built from that generation Corvette. Earliest car was the one (1) 1986 Callaway Corvette, which was actually converted after the very first production 1987 Callaway Corvette. Your car is from someone else.

Paul,
Not a Callaway Corvette, sorry. No Callaway Corvettes were built prior to 1986 (for the 1987 model-year), and one 1986 Malcolm Konner coupe was built later, as well. Your car is years too early, and of a different style or design. I hope this helps.
