Reason: update
How are you guys doing the heater hoses? I used a 1995 Chevy truck setup on my '74. I plan to put Vintage Air in the car but being on the Gulf Coast, I never even thought about heat. My friend is doing the same setup on his '78 and said the truck water pump had no hook-up for a heater hose. I have personally never fixed a broken heater, just by-passed them, I have a sweater, don't need heat, but gotta have A/C in Texas!

I put a vintage air kit in my 71 along with the GM serpentine kit. The vintage air assembly has the heater core and A/C stuff in one unit that goes in the car. My water pump has place for a fitting for the heater hose along with the other fitting in the intake manifold so I just hooked thing up as you normally would. I don’t know what you’d do of the water pump doesn’t have a place for the fitting except get another water pump.
i bought the kit straight from GM. I got Package Part Number 12497698 = With Air Conditioning. The instructions say The water pump included in this package, part number 19201601, is a reverse rotation, cast iron water pump, with long mounting legs.
It came with a long pump, not the short one most corvettes have. But i put in two electric fans so it didn’t matter. I hope this helps.

what hose are you using for the bottom? got the top to work with factory late model hose with extending the height of the water neck on manifold. have not figure out the bottom hose unless i make something using a 45 degree copper elbow.

That’s a million dollar question. I haven’t figured that out yet. I bought a hose that was originally recommended. That didn’t fit. It was too long. I suppose having a longer water pump doesn’t help the situation. I tried cutting it down but that didn’t work out either. The shape/curve just wasn’t right. I have so many other things to do that I kind of tabled that. I don’t want to use a universal hose, I never liked the looks of those. Sorry I don’t have an answer for that yet.
I wish I could remember what hose I used. Seems like the first one we tried worked. May have been a universal, not terribly concerned with under-hood looks as long as it's clean(which it is not particularly at the moment!).
I installed and ran the Vintage Air Front Runner System. Installed easily and I was quite happy with it. You can find this at their site noted below. Good luck with your search.

So this does fit without cutting the crossmember or anything like that? I emailed them and asked specifically if it would fit my 1972, and they were pretty vague about it, said something like "it should fit without much trouble".

Unfortunately your asking a person who sadly has passed away.
nzjkb5 You may want to look at the Holley Mid Mount to run the front accessories. You can buy the whole kit(with the typical holley price) or follow this lead and just buy the main contraption from Holley and source the other parts separately. This guy does a great job of explaining what it is that is needed(and you can eyeball the rest of the thread for additional info). Seems like this is wonderfully compact (this post was discussing the LS but you'll get the idea) https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...post1608357453

I I was needing to buy all the pulleys for my 68 nowadays, then I would probably go with this serpentine system instead. Those silly v-belt pulley prices have gotten ridiculous ...it would be dang expensive i needed them all.
You can buy the main water pump main assembly and then follow the leads in the previous post to source the other components for a better deal, a better all around serpentine system, and a better alternator --- lotsa positives. https://www.holley.com/products/engi...s/parts/97-305
