I removed both the AIR pump pulley and clutch fan. The stock mount uses studs, with nuts at the clutch fan side. In my image above, you can see that I replaced the studs with bolts for my electric fan application.

I think the threads on the stock studs don't go all the way to the hub, and the nuts would have bottomed out on the stud, not the pulley? I forget the actual issue, but I wouldn't have bought parts if the stock parts worked. Perhaps you can make up the difference with washers (may not be the best idea). Or use fully threaded studs. Or you could cut the V-groove off of the pulley and just use the center section. But the pulley may not interfere with the spreader bar in any case.
