Looking fine! Have you tried putting your lock cylinder back in the door to see of it fits okay?
yup! It's close, but needs a tad more file work around some of the notches to fit perfectly. Before I shoot the primer I'll get it fitted up perfectly.

If you haven't already, don't forget to check the thickness of your repair by also trying to insert the lock cylinder retaining clip.
Getting the glass out of these C3 doors isn't fun. But doing so has made looks of room to work on the lock opening. Plus while I'm in there I'll do sound deadening and go through the power window motors.

It's a good time to use a solvent to clean out the old stiff grease from the window regulators and replace it with some new pliable grease. A lot of times power windows fail from the mechanism getting too stiff to work. A lot of people think you should avoid using power windows to avoid wearing them out, but in fact the least used windows in a car are often going to be the ones that stop working first.
I just stripped everything out of my doors as well.
After pulling the glass I found I’ll also be replacing all the wheels and other parts that roll through the channels.
Are you replacing the glass?

The glass is in great shape. It almost looks new, so no replacement needed. Usually they're all scratched to hell, so I'm pretty happy I can reuse them. Since they're out, I'll be tinting them and cleaning the tracks and re-greasing everything.
Got 2 coats of high build primer down. I thought I had more primer in the cabinet, but nope. I ordered another gallon, but wont come in till next week.
I'll knock down the first 2 coats with 400 grit on blocks, fix any low spots, and do 3 more coats when the new gallon comes in.
I plan to do a light tint on mine as well, but I’ll probably wait to get them tinted until after everything is assembled.
I could see myself scratching the tint while I’m doing the assembly or adjustments.

I do worry about scratching the tint during installation. I've done it before in other cars, but not a C3. The glass on these cars dont like to come out or go in easy.
Doing a quick walk around the car this morning, looks like the primer laid down nicely. I can see a few low spots that'll need some attention, but nothing crazy.
