I reached out to Dub's wife-
She is hanging in there- however Dub didn't have a will nor a place with all his accounts/passwords-
I am right now adding the wife to the business checking account- and putting together a list of accounts/passwords.
Dub was a great teacher- maybe this last lesson will help others out too-
Lynn told me she was graciously loaned an empty warehouse to move the cars and stuff for a year.
I will make the trip up there soon to help out-If members are interested- please feel free to contact me and I'll let you now the details as I get them.
DUB has been greatly missed for a long time since he stopped posting on the forum, but I always held some hope that he'd start back up again someday. To hear that he has passed and will never return is truly sad. He had a vast wealth of knowledge and talent that was freely shared with all of us. May his soul rest in eternal peace as memory of him lives on in his forum threads & posts...
I never had the pleasure to meet DUB, however I learned so much from his writings.
We all missed his presence when we lost him several years ago, and we all feel an even larger loss now.
My thoughts and well wishes go out to his family and friends.
I’m not a religious man, but Dear Lord, please take this man into your arms and keep him safe with you because he has helped so many,
Thank You!

I was just thinking of giving him a call a couple weeks ago and saying hello and well, didn’t get to it. If only I had. Finding out the news today has left me heartbroken and regretting not making that call and talking on the phone for hours one last time.
DUB,
Thank you for all of your kindness, generosity, sharing of knowledge, and most importantly your friendship. Like so many others here you selflessly helped me with my project and having spent countless hours talking on the phone over the years we became friends. I always hoped to meet you in person one day and will have to wait a little longer I guess. Rest easy my friend. I will miss you.
Hello everyone, this is Lynn, Dub's wife. Thank you all for your kind words. Dub was a genius with Corvette knowledge and would help anyone with any questions they had. Thankfully, he did not suffer, and was working at his business when it happened - so it was the way he wanted to leave this earth. I am still trying to contact many of his customers/friends. Dub had so many numbers stored in his head and not written down. I am left with the process of closing his business which will take many months. I have put something up about Dub on my facebook page with pictures - just go to Lynn Dubnicka and you will see the post which is public and you can comment. If you would like to reach me, please send me a message here or on Facebook. Dub loved being on this forum, but you know how it can be - some people just like to **** people off, which he would get upset about, and also, he was just overwhelmed at his business, since it was just him - 7 days a week. As I told Dub - this is not goodbye it's "see you later".
Condolences Lynn. Thank you for your post. Twice Dub helped me with my Corvette thru this forum, You could just tell he had the passion for Corvettes. Patient and kind. He will be missed.

I don't use Facebook so I will post my reply here.....
At a time like this we really appreciate you replying on the Forum. Our hearts are broken and we know words don't carry a lot of weight right now..
We do want you to know that the next time you see Dub he will be 20 years old again and full of life. He will have forever to give you his undivided attention, and Corvettes will be his hobby. He will fit in well in Heaven since perfection is the norm, and not a stressful goal..
Thank for sharing him with us
.
Never met him in person but talked to him many times here on the forum. I am right at his age so this sure hits home. To his wife Lynn I cannot imagine your loss. May he RIP and until you see him again may you have many memories with him.
So sorry to see him go as he was/is a wealth of information to the Corvette community. Judging by all the responses here he helped as many as he could. Terrible news for the Corvette world.

After many phone calls, where he offered in-depth expertise on my C3, we decided to take my Vette to him. Yes, he was 1/2 way across the country but everyone I spoke to said he was the best.
He has had my vette for 5 years. Initially he said it would be “6 months” but kept finding things he wanted to correct on the car. If you know Dub you know he is a perfectionist and an artist.
We talked more times than I can remember since 2016. Dub and Lynn both I now consider friends as they are both good folks.
Sadly he did not get to complete the restoration of my car. The corvette world lost a good one. Thoughts are with his family and friends. He left some really big shoes to fill!
What a huge loss to the Corvette community. Dub was one of the first people I met after I bought my C3 in Charlotte. Prayers to his family and close friends/
that really sucks, Hope his spirit is at ease and he has no more pain. He gave us all great advice and even gave me a few pointers emails and over the phone because he didn't want me to misinterpret his instructions so he had me call him, what a great guy to stop and make time for me because I was a forum member. Prayers to his family ,Rest easy my friend!
