All of the judges and participants were very polite and definitely know there corvettes.. we talked for hours about corvette’s of all years and had a fantastic time.. If you don’t like the NCRS that is fine , but don’t ridicule an organization because you can’t win a blue ribbon . Just my 2cents .
Not at all what the comments are about. There is zero question NCRS is an organization totally adrift and far removed from what it was intended to be. and no signs at all of that changing any time soon....though the release of a new website is a huge breakthrough. Is it about awards, prizes and points? or is it about the corvette as an iconic american sports car and originality. NCRS folks have helped me tremendously with my restore project. OTOH as one example I was advised by a long timer to just toss my small chrome part that was put on the car on the assembly line over 50 years ago rather than have it rechromed because it was much cheaper to get a knock off repro part from one of the large vendors. eh? Last I knew the R was for restoration...not replacement. The organization is imploding under the weight of auditor type judges who enjoy zinging ya and awards and points have become the end game. reference the common talk about "price per point" during a restoration vs....what is original. Chase all the prizes and awards you want. Whatever makes one happy. NCRS is a valuable advisor for my project..but is I who am the judge and I do it for the passion...not any organization award or status. Fingers crossed that someone(s) right the ship at some point. THIS is exactly where NCRS is at. I can only explain but I cannot force understanding.

Not at all even close to reality.

In too attended, online for months, and to me restoration has a very broad definition of what they try to present and control.

It's the PEOPLE, not the knowledge they have. The PEOPLE. And the people are the problem in the NCRS. Someone on their high horse will now come along and say you cannot judge a group by an individual, well, that is also dead wrong. A group is comprised of like minded individuals compromising the majority, or it does not form as a group.

The NCRS needs to reset to square one.

Yes. It is clearly stated in the NCRS Judging Reference Manual.

TonyinKC, what does the reference manual
state about a dealer registration of a vehicle. Registration name that differs from
the member name, but has similarities? There is much talk going on about dealer registration Cars being judged. Some of which are “sponsors“.

dealer name is not the “members name”.

kindly and honestly, TonyinKC (NCRS high ranking administrative assistant ) can let this thread know how those cars are being judged.
