Please Split.

Way to much traffic for only one general section.

We all know the common topics.

The Corvette FAQ has a good breakdown of topics.

 

I'm starting to understand why this section is never going to get split.....

Exactly the opposite......I will stay and play in the C3 tech section and won't have to listen to crybabies whine about their car getting wet.

 

Just split the damned thing so we don't have to have the people that only come in here to vote come back again.

I'm at the point where I don't give a damn. It seems like a split would give both sides what they want and what's wrong with that?

If there was a way to see all new posts like the C3VR did, then I might change from no to yes. I do see a lot of repeat questions, but I'm not sure how splitting is going to help that. I like it as-is, I can scan down and see new posts. If I am particularly interested, I can look at my recent posts and find a thread that I wanted to see others comments that may have fallen off the first page. It seems to me that this topic comes up very often-more than every 6 months. Seems like we should give it some time before bringing it up again. When a labor union tries to organize a company and fails, they don't try again for a while. Looks like several here don't really want it to split, they just want the efforts to do so to stop-in other words they just gave up. Either way is not the end of the world, I just like the current format better. My .02

Naturally, since I started this same exact poll more than a few times in the past, I vote YES!!!!

One forum for those who ask the all-important, all-essential question "do these fuzzy dice make my car look cool?", and one forum for those who ask "will throwing these fuzzy dice in the furnace take a half second off my 1/4 mile times"

We needed a split YEARS ago. Finally we have the numbers to MAYBE get it. Now everyone help me convince my good buddy GDaina to go to bat for us

Turtle just takes the split stuff VERY seriously. Actually, I don't blame him. A tech thread disappears so quick here that it's not even funny any more. The only threads that stick around are those dang "I love my doggie with the bobbing head" threads

I'm all for a split. I think it's long overdue.

 

it wont help a thing...
now that i have a C5, i have been hanging a little bit over in the "divided" C5 forum...
people put tech stuff in general and general stuff in tech...
all it does is make it even harder to find stuff...

make no mistake about it...
this may be a good idea in theory...HOWEVER...
people WILL NOT put thier stuff in the correct location...
and it will be scattered all over the place...
dont believe me? go see for yourself...

look folks....i think that this is PERFECT proof that it just does not fix anything...
if anything, it makes things worse by scattering everything everywhere...
there are just too many posts that could go either way...

please look at this realisticly and admit that a split does not fix anything...it makes it worse...
right now we have one place to scroll down thru and click on what interests us...
if we split, we will have to scour thru two different places to find things...

#1...people do not and will not put things in the correct place...
#2...there are just too many subjects that could go either way and you wont know where to put them OR where to find them...

THINK ABOUT THIS AND BE HONEST TO YOURSELVES AND THE REST OF US...PLEASE

 

Either way, I am going to be here. Its just going to cost me more time looking at two sections rather than just one.
