That's great news, we were all hoping for this outcome!
Mr. Marshal, I applaud you for entering into this discussion an doing right by MSV. It's good to know that there are companies out there that still stand by their product!
I'm thrilled to hear Mr Marshall personally took such an interest this case and called you to discuss it 1:1. It says great things about his company and the way they stand behind their warrantees.
I've sort of sided with "the Dude" on this issue and wanted to see how Marshall would handle this issue before I got too excited. I'm sure MSV will be happily motoring down the road soon, and Blueprint may end up with more customers as a result of their great service.
I understand MSV's anxiety leading up to the decision but now all is good. I build cars all the time and I am a huge NAPA fan so I'll rest easy knowing I can order a NAPA engine and get one from Blueprint. Glad to hear everything is working out for all sides!
Mr. Marshall, in case you are following this thread please consider being a supporting member of this forum. The folks here are really a great bunch and we can always use a great crate motor!
For those of you that have posted strings on other message boards, I request that you set the record straight and either link them here for my explanation, or simply copy and paste this over their.
It's only fair that everyone that's seen this post over the past few weeks now also sees that Blueprint made this right.
I do wonder why they (blueprint) determined it was a detonation problem after two independent inspections determined it wasn't.
I talked to quite a few other mechanics about it and they didn't see detonation being able to do it either. Unless he forgot to tighten the distributor bolt down and somehow it twisted way advanced while running. I think the independent inspections are part of the reason for them honoring the warranty. Sure detonation probably happened when a spark finally got to the chamber after it got stuck.
I knew Marshall would do the right thing. I specialize in finding information. Early on I did a thorough search for Marshall and Blueprint in hopes of finding something to support your case. Guess what I found???? Nothing...absolutely nothing...no disatisfied customers, no complaints....nadda.
No problems anywhere. You would think with the number of engines they sell you would find something. bottomline is numbers speak for themselves. They obviously build a quality product, time and time again. Based on my research I would not have hesitated in buying one of there motors. I would be more inclined to do so now seeing how they handled this.
MSvette it must have been a bit stressfully for you over the past week or so. Its nice to see the system works. We truly live in a boarderless society when you can shop 1000 miles away and still get the same results you would expect from a local retailer.
It is great to hear that everything worked out for the good. I am looking forward to hearing how good the new engine Marshall sends will be. Keep us posted on the install with pics MSVetteMan.
Thanks Marshall for being a Brick & Mortar business that stands by it's product.
wow......look at the replies of the positives!! See Mr. Marshall, I told you I would make it right!! (I actually did nothing, I just knew the Corvette Forum would reply appropriately). This is an awesome bunch! Now I'm ready to
P.S.: Mang......I wish I had time to get the motor in and still participate in the burnout contest/crawfish boil........April 8th, at my house guys!! Last year we did damage to over 400 pounds of crawfish, and countless adult beverages!! All vetters invited! You must bring your vette! If you are close enough to attend, please come on!! For directions and more info., PM me.
Mr. Marshall, you're are certainly welcome as well!!

Do you think they would let you do an inspection on the new motor so you could post pics and we could all see the quality of their workmanship before you install it in your ride? It sucks to wait but... maybe they cold post some pics of their guyz building the motor you are going to get? I would like to see some positive pics of a Blueprint motor! (And the actual dyno printout on the motor your putting in the vette!\
Congrats on a great ending to this saga! Now I can get back to work!
