Hi, I thought I better get on here and stick up for myself a little. Yes we received the motor and yes it is being thoroughly inspected and we will notify Brian directly when we have the results of that inspection.
I am disappointed with everybody’s rush to judgement on this deal; we are not out to screw Brian or anybody else. We are not an “internet” business. We are brick and mortar and have been for 24 years. We really do Dyno test all of our Blue Print Engines; we have 3 dynos, one DTS and two Go Power.
We don’t farm out any part of the engine build up, we do it all in house.
We have some of the best and most accurate engine machining equipment available anywhere. And we have some really great people who build these engines that are not dumb, or stupid, but guys just like you, who are car guys or motorcycle nuts or whatever, and a lot of them have been here for 10, 15 and even 20 years.
It seems as though all we have done is try to work with Brian to get his motor back and inspected and a bunch of you guys act like we are villains. I don’t think we deserve that.
I don’t believe in playing the guessing game with what went wrong until we have been through the engine, measured everything, calculated the CR from actual measurements, run the tests that are required and if needed have our engineers discuss it with the engineers at FEL PRO, KB or who ever.
I also don’t think it is fair that some of you are taking pot shots at Clarence and Keith, they are just doing their job and trying to take care of our customer’s problem. I think one of you suggested that you would “stick the motor up Clarences ***”. I suppose that after reading this you will take shots at me too.
So I would ask all of you to just give us a chance to do our job and quit thinking we are out to get our customer.

Whether or not you are who you say you are, I have to say, I agree with you. You still haven't had a chance to handle this. No conclusions should be drawn until all is said and done.
You know, this thread as for the most part been very civil. Good open discussion, folks thinking through trying to figure out what might have caused this, and probably a learning experience for some (especially me).
There have been very few shots taken at them, and the trouble only started after the production manager shot off a email trying to be cute.
98% of the posts have been supportive, and helpful. So, we aren't all bad guys, Mr. Marshall. (If that's really you, which I doubt it).
I think you will also find that the board moderators will not let folks take pot shots at you, unless provoked, of course......lol......
Look, a funny one already got erased......lol.....I saw that grayhook......good one (all in fun of course).........

The way the product manager explained it to me was they can't dyno all the non-dressed motors. They ship way to many, and it's to time consuming and would add considerable cost. They put it on a non-computerized type of dyno and actually verify minimum hp/torque spec's before shipping.

Maybe the production manager didn't get the memo....

Dear Mr Marshall
Noting all the publicity that this ordeal is getting I think by now it would behoove you to send Brian a new motor under warrantee. I mean there is a lot on the line here and this has been going on for long enough!! I work in the service business for a major multi billion dollar company and I have never experienced such crappy service. Mind you. You are not only servicing Brian you are servicing an entire industry right here on this forum and others.
If at all send the guy a new motor and work out the finances at a later date pending the out come of the investigation. At lease let the guy get his car on the road again I mean its spring already!!! Don’t worry about the pot shots just make good on your word remember brick and mortar...
Just a little advice coming from a corporate guy.. Thanks for your time…
I'm going fishing........75* and a beautiful day. Hey Norris, call me on my cell phone when you know something, so I can let the clones know what is going on...........
If you stick around, I'm sure you'll find that the members are very friendly and fair to vendors. This thread is not representative, as far as I can tell, of the normal activity of the site.
