Looks good Marck!

It's a heck of a project.

That spot caliper isn't Mechanical though, it's Hydrolic, is that what you meant to use?
I don't think Wilwood ( or anyone) makes a mechanical spot caliper...

Marck,
It is pleasing to see someone realizing their dream becoming a reality! The fruits of one's labor not only satisfy one's personal satisfaction, it inspires others to try to achieve something they otherwise would not attempt!

Keep inspiring us with your knowledge, talent and creativity!

TT,

Looking good! Makes my C4 suspension project look simple in comparison. The parking brake info just might come in handy too. For a variety of fitment reasons I'm having to delete the wheel-located parking brake system. I just might entertain the pinion area caliper idea. Thanks. Keep us updated on the progress.

Major milestone accomplished.... I remember back about 8 yrs ago when I had my 82 and you posted often about your "project 82" on the crossfire site.....you've stuck to it when most would have thrown in the towel long ago. Congrats

MRVette, actually I was seconding your comments regarding Marck's project, my project did not take much from me but a credit line. I respect an awful lot of guys on here who have put their hearts into these projects, particularly those who are turning their own wrenches. There are a lot of drop dead gorgeous C3 on here I would LOVE to have

Beer keg............

Couldn't you just take the bolts out of the corners, and put in a larger spacer with longer bolts?

Not to mention research and thought and engineering. A truly remarkable single handed effort.
Your going to be on cloud 9 when this beast is complete.

Can you give some history on this project? Did you originally set out to build a race car or did it grow out of the usual standard modifications?
