i know this is old stories, but maybe you still remember your design decisions.
What made you abandon the idea of running the oil pump off the flywheel?
Why did you not go with a smaller (in physical size) p/u for clearance around the cross member?
Mounting the engine so low - you did it only for lowering the center of mass or was it imposed by the gearbox/driveline?
Edit: I am impressed by the amount of work you put into reworking the location and position of engine accessories on the front. The BMW engine it accessories in totally different places than you have them set. That has to be quite an amount of custom machining and design (not always in thus order )

Basically, the oil pump from these v12s are driven off the crankshaft through. You can't modify the pickup since the actual pump will be interfering with the steering mechanism and the cross member. He could have done an external wet sump, but he chose to do a dry sump. It probably would have been the same amount of effort.
