Can anyone suggest a good carpet shampooer machine. We were going to have our carpets professionally shampooed, it was very costly so we thought we could buy a good machine and do it ourselves and then have the machine for whenever we needed it.
We just put new ceramic tiles on our kitchen floor and I really do not want them big vacuum hoses the so called professionals use dragging all through the kitchen to get to the carpeted rooms. TIA.
Go to heartland america's website. I bought a hoover spinscrub steamvac from them recently on sale for less than $100. We have cats as pets and are on our third Hoover as cats throw up ALOT!!! Very satisfied with the hoover and it has a hose attachment so you can do chairs and car upholstery too. You can get the same machine at walmart and home depot, but you'll pay a lot of money. Hope this helps. Good luck. kh400
You are likely to only be shampooing the front carpet segments. And, to do that well, it would be advisable to remove the seats to pull them out of the car. Then you could do the job with just a good scrub brush and a bucket of water (or garden hose).
If the condition of the carpet is very worn in spots, you would be better off to buy new carpet sets (you can just buy the front pieces, if that's all you need) along with a good set of floormats that will keep the carpet in better condition for a much longer period of time.
Hi,
Well this thread is really getting interesting.
What happens if kh's cats throw-up on 7T1's 2 front carpets? Does the big hose still get dragged over the new tile!
