What sort of RPM? Any dyno numbers with RPM?

Jim, the Holley is a great intake. I did all the head porting myself and the intake as well. It matched up nicely to the 370cc runners. Never dynoed it but at the track it ran from 5.43 to 5.55 depending on the time of year (1/8 mile) at 2850#. Never ran the 1/4 with it. No radical porting. Just made sure of a good gasket match to the heads and continued that up the runners about 2" or so. RPMS... shifted at 7200 and hit the stripe at 7100. Did plenty of 7800 to 8000 rpm burnouts and it never laid over. I had a 180hp fogger on it for one summer to run some local drudge events but due to not changing converters, it was just too hard on the motor IMO. It would run 5.25 - 5.30 but it put an extra 1k rpm on it. Crossed at 8000 but again, never quit pulling.

Might be of interest to the OP, Dart 400 CID small block replaced previous 383 & 350 engines.

I Like it Neal, looks killer and a great engine!!!!.
Do you built it or maybe you go to shopping and buy one built for you?. What compression have it?.
How much hps have it?. What are you using to.. run 1/4 mille or maybe a rapid cruising on it?
Thanks for your future answers...

Regards, Alex.

This is a pic of my latest project. It looks like a stock 427 435hp but is actually 542" and makes 671.05 rwhp with the factory 1967 tri-power intake manifold, factory cast iron exhaust manifolds, a custom fabricated 3” exhaust system, all accessories connected (including clutch fan), and power steering.

Here is another shot of my blue car with the 632:

Big is a relative term. All else being equal (VE% wise), a 427 turning 7000 RPM should theoretically pump as much A/F mix as a 496 turning 6000. Just thought I'd throw that out there...

BBC 496, Forged rotating assem., custom ported open chamber ovals, stainless valves, titanium retainers, Lanati roller rockers, Lanati solid roller .700 lift int. and exh., duration at .050 254, 112 lobe center,
10 to 1 comp, custom Ross pistons, 4.25” Eagle steel crank, Eagle H-beam rods, Holley Strip Dominator intake, Internally balanced, 4 bolt Chevy block, Hooker Side-pipes, highly tuned Holley 1000 HP carb.

I was running it in a chevy truck and decided to pull it and send it to a known racing engine shop and have the head work done along with the with the matching cam. I than brought it to a local shop and had it balanced and assembled.

I installed it in the car and cranked it up. I haven't dyno'ed it so the HP is just a guess right now. Its very close to a forum members 496 BB and his made in the area of 650 HP.

Haven't been to the track so I'm not sure on the 1/4 mile times, it pulls very strong to 7000 rpm's.

Just a little 454. Block is an XCH code, crate model LS-7 slated for the 1970 Corvette, 454/460. Never made it into production. Been massaged a bit with GM aluminum heads, ARP rod bolts, and a little more cam.

Mines only a 406 pump gas 10:5:1cr
She made 531 hp though and she's built for plenty of spray.
