Sorry to hear that, I'll send him a note. Don't think he checks in here at all anymore.
I will take that route as well. He and I go back many years to when he had a loaner Q-Jet program. One of my donor 1979 carbs was loaned out about 90 times.
Hi,
I'm relatively new and so Lars hasn't been around much since I've been here.
BUT!!! I quickly learned what set Lars apart was that he actually DID what he SAID he would DO!
He's a very rare individual!
I hope he can see this thread in order to know the high regard in which he's held!
RECOVER LARS!!!!
Alan
Never met him, never posed or posted a question, but without his papers and posts on Q-jets, I'm sure mine would be out back in the field as far as I could throw it.
There are people who know things and keep that knowledge to themselves
There are those who sell their work while keeping the knowledge "secret"
And then there are a rare few willing to share that knowledge openly with anyone and everyone.
Wish I could thank him in person and shake his hand just once.

Even though we only know him from his papers, posts and emails, we feel a kinship; a friendship for Lars. I admire his knowledge; his wit and his generosity. Perhaps one day I will shake his hand...
