Need a new carb for my 81 C3 have any suggestions ? needless to say this is a very unique carb , car is all original and still has the original carb on it so i'd really like to stick with the original type carb , kinda have too without changing a whole bunch of other things , any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately, I'm not set up to be able to test the ECM-controlled carbs, so I can't rebuild them - I don't believe a carb can be reliably rebuilt if it's not tested and verified on a running engine.

I have this book. Great info for rebuilding your carb. I don't know, but Cliff may be able to rebuild it for you if you don't want to do it yourself.
Here is his website. http://www.cliffshighperformance.com/
Send it to Cliff Ruggles. He has the parts, equipment, knowledge and WILLINGNESS to rebuild that carb. This approach ASSUMES that your car is still operating with the electronic CCC system still active. If it is functional, you MUST install your original carb or an identical replacement, or the system will not work correctly.
If your CCC system is inoperable, and you want to leave it that way, you will need to replace your present carb and distributor with ones from earlier years as your engine will need to 'manage' itself, instead of via the CCC computer. You should still leave the computer hooked up, as it will continue to manage the lockup clutch in your overdrive transmission.

I agree. These carbs are not hard to rebuild, but if you're uncomfortable rebuilding a regular QuadraJet the E4Ms are a couple notches harder on the difficulty scale. You need to baseline the MCS rich and lean stops in addition to the regular setup work for idle mixture, choke, etc.

I don't think CCC can control TC lockup without the E4M - TPS is one of the inputs and TPS is provided by the E4M (they have built in TPS sensors).
