I have not had the car on the ground with them yet. I am still doing engine work on it. However, jut eyeballing, it looks like the fronts may rub the inner part of the factory flare while turning. I do plan to put L88 flares on mine so it wont be an issue.

rosslato - What width are your rear wheels? What backspace are they? Are you having any clearance issues?

Thanks,
SR

I believe the BS is 3 3/8", go to the CenterLine website, no rubbing on the front but you need to relocate the parking brake bracket

10" wheels in the rear. Not positive but think i've got half inch spacers and have no clearance problems and stock TA's. Don't remember the Backspacing as i've had my Cragers on there over 20 yrs.

Yes, I know there is the Michelin XWX but it is only produced as big as 225, and it is outrageous expensive. Why dont they produce a good "H" rated tire anymore in various sizes?????? People would by it, I believe.

I figured I would update mine now that it has been on the ground. I also have Van Steel 550lb loweing springs in the front and longer bolts in the rear. I added about -2.5° of front camber to help with cornering and also to clear the fender lip but it still rubs on bigger bumps. Flares will be the next step.

Damn Kubbs those slots look tuff on your car. Did go go as low as possible in the rear? In a perfect world, mine would be the same in front, but a bit lower in the rear. I recon you have it where you want, and the flares will be installed to fit the tires?

Thanks Richard! I can go lower in the rear. I have about 1/2" of threads showing after the nut on 8" long spring bolts. I am a big believer of measuring ride height to the frame rather than the fender. Doing that gives me about 3/4" of rake (which is where I want it), but it looks like more than that just looking at the fenders. I think maybe the body is high in the rear or something. It had a larger rear wheel gap even at stock ride height with stock tires. I will be molding the flares around the tires yes.

The Daisies look great on there. Are those wheels the same size as stock?

Hi Richard,I think the stock rims are 8 1/2" and the Daisy rims are 9", They seem to fill the guards up OK, on a side note dropping the front end has given me better wheel clearance!I have no issue now with wheel rubbing that I did before
Cheers Dave NZ
