I am hoping someone out there already experienced this and has a fix. I bought the stock replacement steel spring SKU 25-159750-1 from Corvette Store Online. Used the 8" bolt package to mount. However, once I got the tires on (new), I find I have a 4" gap tire to fender well on the drivers side, and a 5 1/2" gap on the passenger side. Any ideas how to fix this? I have the bolts tightened in about 1 inch. Not sure if just tightening in one of the bolts will work, or if that will produce uneven tension on the spring. Any ideas?
Hi apn,
I see this is referred to as a "Stage 3" Spring.
Do you know what it's characteristics are compared to the spring you removed from the car?
Do you think the spring on your car the original?
What were you seeing that made you think you needed a new spring?
It would be good to know what year your car is and what other suspension components you may have replaced… bushings, shocks, etc..
Regards,
Alan
