Has anyone ever relocated the VIR from buried to mount on the evaporator case like a 73 or 74 buick or olds with the 455 as a reference of space ?.

I have read your thread about 6 times... tried to understand what you are trying to 'say'...but I can't.

Dub, he wants to mount the VIR directly in front of the evaporator (think chevy truck) instead of the standard corvette location.
It could be done if you found an evaporator that would fit inside the housing but plumbing it would be a challenge. You would be better off converting it to a 78-82 accumulator system.

Why???

If you NEED to mess with the VIR, why not replace it with a VIR eliminator device and a safety pressure switch?

'tracdogg'

Thanks for the explanation. I am worthless on this thread due to I do not mess with Chevy trucks...other than my own. And without photos to aid us in the vision of what they want to do...that really makes me not have anything to offer....because it has been stated about the VIR Eliminator.
