With so much work that I put into the suspension, I felt that the BFG TA radial 225/70R15 were taking away from the performance potential.
It looks better in person. A few 100 miles to break in the tires. A new alignment job, coming up next weekend.
New rubber: Michelin Pilot Sport 5. 255/45R18
The new wheels and tires completely changed the look of the car.
I really like them.
I can only imagine how the ride and handling improved.

). I did it mostly for the performance. The tires need about 200 miles before they reach full potential. I may lower the car a bit… but not sure about that. I do think adding a rear sway bar and upsizing the front one might make sense.
The first few miles were indeed a bit
. So, disappointing. But… it’s steadily improving. That said, acceleration grip in first gear is much improved. It used to be easy to break traction. Now the limit is traction seems much higher. 
The weather is improving, time to get out on the road again!
The valve springs need to be replaced. Probably that will be completed this coming weekend.

In the meantime, I got my seats back from upholstery. I think the color is spot on. These are my Miata seats.
I think this will make a tremendous difference on the feel of the car.
