Update - Found out today why my engine broke it self, whipped the oil pan off , found the oil pick up lying at the bottom, the 2 bolts that hold it onto the oil pump lying there aswell, I loctite those ******* in last time i was in there, doing my rear crankshaft seal, also pieces of crankshaft shells, so its fooked good and proper lol - why have the bolts come loose??

If the pickup is bolted, safety wire is your best bet on keeping the bolts in place; press fit pickups are better tack welded in place to keep this from happening. Apparently the Loctite wasn't enough. Sorry for the carnage, but at least you know what caused all of it now.

That oil pump is submerged in oil anyway. Wouldn't cause loss of oil pressure, just lost of the screen keeping junk out. Screen is only about an inch lower than inlet hole in pump and less than a half inch from bottom of pan. Good 4 to 6 inches of oil when pan full.

ok , that did cross my mind, maybe during hard pull or braking hard, might have lost oil or ?,

It definitely makes a difference when the car is driven hard. You want to be picking up off the very bottom of the pan or you risk sucking air.
