Ditch the power brakes... I love the manual brakes, I built a bias bar setup so that I can tune front to rear balance properly too. With the right master cylinder bore and pedal ratio you'll have way better feel and as a result better control at the limits than with a booster, I'll never go back. And yes, my car sees plenty of track time, circuits and hillclimbs.

Purchased from custom image corvette very nice parts the front require a bit more work if you want to retain the 70-72 vents

Almost looks like a rusty old Chevrolet with that paint. If I started with a car like you're starting with I too would have inclined to go a bit more radical. As it is, my car was pretty nice.

A question about the flare attachment. What are those fasteners? I assume they come out somehow eventually. In aircraft assembly there are temporary fasteners that go in and out with a special tool. They were called Clecos. And are probably still in use.

And ... those sure look like the same Fikse wheels that I have on my car. 18" x 9". Very nice and very expensive. Probably cost as much as the car. Hoosiers in this picture.

Looking mean! Manual brakes is the way to go btw... FAR better pedal modulation for threshold braking.

what size tires are you using?

What color are you painting the car? reminds me of SuprJames and AcidGypsy builds -- loving the direction you took with everything and the CCWs!!! Looking forward to seeing the final result.

Most all trailer queen c4, c5, c6 SCCA road racing vettes used that tire combination starting in the early 2000's. I was using 295 Hoosier R1 fronts with 4.5 BS. So I had to try 20 mm wider fronts 315 and see what changed. First time out and really working the tires I polished the frame in both the front and rear of the front wheel wells. No big deal just remember to not turn as hard

They needed probably 4 inch BS with my 79 vette and my lap times were very consistent with 295 fronts without any rubbing so I abandoned the 315 plan. I had 58 rear 42 front weight bias so I didn't need the wider tire

The cool factor is there ..... just hope that they have good wet conditions tire tread

damn how did you pull off 58 rear 42 front that's more like a mid engine car number.

Looks amazing. On the flares did you glass them in then use filler to smooth the surface?
