I don't think it is the pressing of the hub bearing that is the problem, it is getting the free-play correct. You can't check it unless it's assembled and to to adjust it you need to dissasemble it again.(press off/on). You have a better chance of getting it right the first time if you have some special vette TA measuring tools.
The video didn’t work so that being said the wheel moves over 1/4” at all positions on passenger side only. Besides access to a press, what tools are needed? I am going to go remove the wheel and figure out whet this will entail. My mechanical abilities are suspect at times. I completely rebuilt my steering column, rebuilt my engine (not the machining) the entire front suspension and fixed a huge crack in the rear quarter. I did not however get The Qjet to function so I replaced it. I should also mention I have achieved those tasks after several attempts at times.
The prep starts well before this, but Post #91 summarizes what @mobird did for his trailing arms. Perhaps read that thread to see if you want to dive in.

Sounds like a great way to learn... The old try and try again method!
Seriously getting the TA arm off is your first step. And that can be challenging. Then search for TA rebuild for documentation. It's been done many times at home. Especially if you have access to a press.
That's a good TA rebuild post!!

Thanks ,that was an excellent suggestion. I am often the get it close guy and that isn’t what I need for this job. If I send my trailing arm to Van Steel is there anything else that requires special tools for reassembly?
I really love/hate working on cars. I enjoy a challenge but as I get older rolling around on the garage floor gets to be a challenge by the end of the day sometimes...lol I will get the TA off and then decide what to do next. Any special tools needed just to remove it? I have a really big hammer.
Got it off and didn’t break anything or use the saw. Next step I assume is the press to get it apart and get some parts headed this way. Is a 6 ton press big enough or should Iget a 12 T?
