I think the hardest part is getting the handle on after the door panel.
Other than that, pretty easy.

This may very well be the cruelest, dumbest thing ever made by GM.
I would rather do clutches than this stupid chore.

This is ready to go when I get the oil line parts.
I have the door lock soaking in lye for the night.

Follow the directions. The resisters are not used. You have to drill new 1/4" holes for the volt meter.
I modded the ammeter tabs for the new connections.

An overnight soak in Purple power cleaned it right up.
A trip to Corvette Mikes got the lock pawl clip.
I had to pull the lock to assemble that.
Had to pull the outside handle to install the new rod and pin.
Now to crawl into the door to finish.

Done. Twice. I had to replace the outside handle. It was worn just a tad too much to get enough throw.
Cleaned and lubed the window tracks.
Closing in on it.

Done. Gauges work great.
Driving it hard gets it up to 220*
160 stat, so the old Big Block radiator is clogging up.
I see a De Witts in it's future.
Drives like it has 411 rear gears. Freeway its screaming.
Oil pressure is 35 lbs, 10 at idle hot.
I told him go 40 wt next time.

On to the next car.

Nice job Bird. The voltmeter looks like it should have been there all along.

Well done! Thanks for sharing as I learned a great deal.
Any idea how many hours you put in and total cost of parts?
Looking forward to your next C3 project.

Bird,

Vette sounded great! Breathing on the key practically started to motor.
Now turn back the time machine another fifty years to 1923.

Yes and yes. New tank with one fill.
No varnish, just white powder appearance.
