So I think this thread just cost me a ton of money, thanks a lot guys.
I love the flares you have on your C3 and have always thought of making my 73 into a road race replica with flares.
Now, after reading your post, it might have put me over the edge to go this route, add flares and maybe side exhaust.
More research and decisions.
If I do the road race replica, the finished product might make me more satisfied with the end product and I may keep it longer.
At your service. To be honest, if ANYONE sees brett319’s car they should want flares on theirs.
Thanks! I don't think they are much larger if any, than what Chevy added to the fenders in 70 and later models. It was a much needed improvement after they went from 7" to 8" rims in 69.

Dang you guys.
Just when I think, ok I’ll skip adding flares on my restomod, you guys post another awesome example of a C3 with flares, and it gets me thinking again.
Beautiful car, thanks for sharing!
This is about as perfect an example of a flared C3 as I’ve ever seen. Gap to the tires is perfect, flares molded in just right so they look factory instead of added on, great looking wheels to compliment the flares, and side pipes to fill in the space between the arches created by the flares. Just a very well balanced look. Great job!

The black 81 was built by a young guy in Canada. Rob has the same flares as mine and did all the body work himself. He recently got done putting twin turbos in it which is why the pipes come out the side vents. He twisted a half shaft like a piece of taffy before he did the turbos, so I imagine it is a pretty fun drive.
The red one with the German Shepherd driving it lives in California. Steve did the work himself too in a single car garage. I think he even managed to paint it in there somehow.
I just bought a '71 with flares and the wheels are tires are trashed. I'm trying to figure out what I need to fit and fill out the flares, any advice would be appreciated! I'm thinking 15x10 Rally with 295/60R15 in rear and 15x8 with a 245? What backspacing would I need. Are the C6/C7 18/19" wheels feasible to mount?

looks like what you have now fills them out just not the right ride height. You probably need to do some suspension mods.
