The wheels I have now are trashed, and the tires are dry rotted. Wheels/tires need to be replaced. I'm not sure of the BS or width of the wheels, but there are wheels spacers on the car currently

I like the pop rivet flares.
Where do they come from and how much?

The black car is my vision!

unless you want bigger diameter for looks and a better ride, then go with the same size wheels you have now and reuse the spacers or measure the back space and add the spacer width to that measurement then look for wheels in the bs to drop using the spacers. Their is a thread on here titled something like wheels and tires sizes. Find that and you’ll see all the information you need.

You have a nice vette that just needs a little work and if you are going to do any upgrades like suspension and wheels and tires I would look at vansteel front and rear suspension with a borgeson steering box and rocket racing wheels and run some 315/40/18 tires in the back and a 305/40/18 in the front 5 inch back space front and rear .

late model wheels would require way too much spacers to work, IMO.

Flares make a regular c3 look right. Aggressive and mean while sexy at the same time.

I like C3's with flares also. I am getting ready to put flares on my 68 roadster. Anyone tried these from Corvette Mods? https://www.corvettemods.com/C3-Corv...html?pid=15073

Always liked them too!! As a kid in the 70s used to read about guys making them for vettes and vans. They used wire or almost rebar then covered them in glass. Lotta work!
Do miss the crazy metal flake paint, graphics, injector stacks through the hood, recessed lights, scoops etc. Dont miss velour or angel hair interior.
"Street Freak" theme if I remember right. Car Craft mag was big on it.

Edit: just saw the price tag, 2k!

Looks like Custom Corvette Image has them also. Little less money than Corvette Mods. Anyone out there had experience with either of these as to the quality and fit etc?

I have CIC fender panels, although CIC installed them. I give credit to anyone who installs these themselves. I think a well fitting flare can still be butched with bad install/glass job. Or done in cold temps. Its waaay above my pay grade. They need to be fitted with your final suspension & wheel/tire combo to be located properly. My body was moved around on the body mounts slightly for a final tire/wheelwell locating. Turning clearance can be very tight up front in certain instances.
I see some flares located a little too far forward or back, which sucks for the car owner. Makes flares looks bad, when its really just the locating of the flares being the issue.
I think it comes down the the shape of flare you are looking for, plus how true the flares/panel are made in any particular shop. I have not heard of warped CIC flare panels. I may
not have an objective opinion as my car is CIC molded, with no apparent issues. Glassing in and sanding to perfection is its own process!
