Which engine do you have? The original filter for the Q-Jet on the 350 and 454 was an AC Delco GF427 paper filter, which is no longer available. The 71 LT-1's Holley used a Delco GF455 stone filter, which Delco still makes.
There's really not a lot available in the way of brand name replacement filters for the Q-Jet carb, so you sort of have to take what you can get. I think Wix still makes one under part number 33044, which may also be sold by NAPA as their Gold 3044, and Purolator may still offer one but I don't have the part number in my home computer.
Thank you, base 350. Im I’ll go with the wix and I use their oil filters. My car has been acting real wacky especially after driving for 10 minutes and missing, stalling, being difficult to start. Do you think the fuel filter could be potential problem?

The NAPA Gold filters are Wix filters. Use NAPA part number 3051 ($6). Unlikely that the filter is the cause of your issues. If the filter is getting clogged, the car will "nose over" under acceleration, and when it gets bad, it will "poop out" and want to quit under steady-state cruise. Why don't you spend the 2 minutes it would take to check it? Just pull the filter out, yank the checkvalve out of it (if so equipped), and blow through it. Yes, Vern - put it up to your lips and blow through it. If you can't blow through it, change it. Wash the gas down with some Bourbon.
Thanks, your the man and everyone on the website and thousands of other car guys appreciate all that you do. Wish you lived in nc! Lots of great breweries out here!
My 1971 has ran mostly great the last 6 months but gremlins came back yesterday. After 10 minutes engine started missing, stalling, and did not want to start. I’m thinking I have a fuel problem and will check the fuel filter soon as I get replacement. Almost seems fuel vapor locks.
does the quadrajet have floats that could stick when they get hot? Thank you

Vapor lock occurs when fuel on the suction side of the pump vaporizes due to ambient heat or excessive fuel vapor pressure, which causes the diaphragm pump to get a "slug" of vapor and drop its pressure to zero. Your problem is not vapor lock.
Q-Jets do not have "floats." They have one float. It cannot stick when it gets hot, and if it did, there would be fuel spraying out of the top carb vent. That's not your problem. I would start looking at an ignition system problem. Do you have an aftermarket ignition system?
thanks, no aftermarket ignition. Points and dwell is 30.

IMHO, seems like the ignition coil is breaking down after the engine warms up. I'd start with a new coil.
thank you, coil is new ac delco 4 months old. But good point and maybe it slipped down bracket on top of manifold and got very hot. I’ll check, thank you

Thanks Wix fuel filter will be my next try, not holding my breath. Do you think points or fuel pump could be problem? Car will be running great and then goes sour, missing and stalling, not wanting to start. Problem only happens sometimes when under load driving. Car has idled in garage for hours not missing a beat.

My experience with ignition coils from 7 years ago. May or may not apply to your problem. Just a FYI. A Tale of 3 "NEW" Ignition Coils
Maybe check your capacitor under the cap. I developed a miss in my 73 after only 300 miles of driving. I changed out the capacitor and it ran like a top. I have since put another 3500 miles on with no issues.
