Hey, you can regretfully count me out. my DD blazer decided that 30,000 miles on its rebuilt transmission was enough. i have to fix that before i can buy anything for the vette :mad
sorry, i am going to eventually buy one, but im going to have to miss out on the awesome savings. :mad
Ben, I'm really sorry to hear that ! It always seems like later model GM automatic transmissions have little time bombs hiding inside of them, as everything is fine fine fine - then UH OH... :nonod: :banghead:  $$$$....
If your situation should change, simply let us know :flag
Just ordered Mine!! :D  All I can say is Paul is a top notch Guy, excellent to deal with! Thanks Paul!
All I can say is ditto. I enjoyed talking to Paul and wish my experiences with other vendors went this well.
Not that I have been dissatisfied with other vendors that support the forum.
Paul I feel like I owe you and apology. I had to keep our conversation kinda short because I was calling from my work phone and they get a little testy about personal long distance calls.
Re: HYDRATECH GROUP PURCHASE GUIDELINES (Hydratech Braking)
Definitely Count me in for a Level 3 complete kit with a new master cylinder
I have a 69 vette with power steering, manual brakes and Steeroids R/P
Thanks Paul
I would like a Level II system. I do have a couple of questions though. What is done to rebuild the units? Are there moving parts inside? This may seem to be common sense, but what would I have to do if I don't get the lineset? Who would I call in my town to get lines made if I wanted some specific for my car(If I wanted to get them longer to mount them out of sight). I just want to make sure that I know what I am doing before I commit myself. I will probably order the kit with the lineset, but I guess I am just wondering if I can get by with not ordering your lines. Thanks in advance....Mike
Q: "What is done to rebuild the units" ?
A: The "cores" are disassembled, very carefully examined for flaws, the castings are magnafluxed, shot peened, honed to perfection, all wear items replaced on a "when in doubt - throw it out" basis, the accumulators are carefully tested for proper operations, .005 oversize seals are installed for improved leak resistance, proprietary modifications performed to enhance operations for performance use, then all carefully assembled and "live tested" to insure the highest levels of customer satisfaction. :yesnod:
Q: "Are there moving parts inside"?
A: Absolutely! Here is a general diagram of the assist unit:

Q: "What would I have to do if I don't order a lineset"?
A: The "lineset delete" option is for advanced fabricators with a clear knowledge of how to construct custom ps lines, or have access to a shop that can fabricate custom lines for them. Upon request, we can lengthen the lines, supply them overlength and unassembled on the ps pump and steering ends, to facilitate custom routing needs or heavily modified engine compartments. The extreme duty linesets we produce for the systems are of the highest quality, are a perfect fit, very attractive in appearance, and are easily repaired in the unlikely event of damage, with commonly available materials available at most race supply vendors. These are the primary reasons that we chose to construct our linesets utilizing Aeroquip materials! We felt that supplying rubber / steel, OE / stock type linesets, was not a good move as they would not be serviceable, would not lend themselves to alternate routing, would be visually irritating, and otherwise user "unfriendly". YES! They would have cost much less, but our systems most definitely are primarily focused upon quality, which never goes out of style... :flag

I'm very impressed. It's great to see a company that is this darned concerned with their customers. I'll call and order my kit Monday. Rock on!!
With the obvious differences in our RH drive conversions here in Australia, would you advise the 'line set delete' option in our case?
I have the standard P/S pump, but no longer have the power assist ram set up. As with a lot of the cars that are converted to RHD here, they use a Japanese power steering box. What do you suggest?
Thanks.
Well, looks like I am out on this one for now  It seems that I have quite a few projects laying around my garage right now just waiting to go on the car. If I keep buying pieces, I will never be able to put them on! Great deal on a great product, and I will be buying at a later time even if it is at regular price.
Brutus,
The lineset delete option is not necessarily your only choice, as we could custom build a lineset up for you to fit your package!
If you were interested in having a complete bolt in retrofit made up for you, we would require you to carefully document your hose length and fitting needs, maybe pass along a pic or four of your combo, to dimension the lines up correctly.
Or? We could also provide a partially assembled lineset, completed only on the assist unit end, and left unfinished, and overlength, on the ps pump and steering box ends. This way you could custom tailor your lines to fit exactly the way you would like best. We would also supply the fittings and adapters required to complete the lineset. All that would be then required would be to mock up the lines, trim to length, and finish using common hand tools! This might be your best option after all... ?

Got my Level III package in. Man! This thing screams quality with every component and it has everything except the PS fluid. Even has the aluminum clamp to route the braided hoses together. I'll be installing it this week so that, weather permitting, I can go cruising this weekend and finally have decent brake feel. No more wondering if I'm going to break the seat back on the hard stops.
MIKE! If you don't identify yourself as a CF member when placing an order, how in the world am I to know!?
[b]I hope that you whole heartedly understand that I am not going to inquire with every customer as to whether or not they are CF members (!) - it is a CF member's obligation to present their status with us at the time of placing their order...
CF records indicate that you have been a member for 94 days - we presented the 10% CF member discount on January 31st of '03, therefore you were indeed eligible for the discount at the time of placing your order. In the interest of maintaining an excellent standing with my fellow CF members, and genuinely understanding your plight, I will honor your request and ink you a check for the difference and mail it out to you. 10% of your $595 purchase = 59.50. You should expect to receive your discount check before the end of next week.
