My girlfriend, of nearly 9 years, loves to drive my Vette (Old Black Chevy). Although, she doesn't very often. Sometimes she'll uncover the Vette and drive it to work which is only 1.3 miles from where we live. She's a good driver. She also has her own Harley and handles that well. Guess I'm lucky that she likes the same stuff as me. She's a great gal.
She's driven it a few times, even went out and bought some REALLY high heel sandles so she could reach the clutch pedal. But, she's happier just riding around with me driving.
My wife drove the '93 6-speed ONCE. That was enough for me.
She hasn't driven the '77 yet. She was pregnant when I got it, it was laid up afterwards, and now that it is running again guess what? :-)
Really curious about the rest of the community. My wife is definitely "...no interest - just doesn't get it". Must be one of those "Men are from Mars" things...
My wife is 5'1", can't reach the pedals, can't turn the wheel due to manual steering, and can barely pull the shifter and the sound of the 468 intimidates her.
The answer is a resounding no.

Reason: Wife say's she's 5'1" ;)
I think every single woman under 5ft in this country has a husband who owns a Vette, and posts on this thread.
For the record, my wife hasn't driven mine... but then, I only drove it a couple times (with no brakes I might add) before I dismantled it. She can't drive a stick yet anyway.
I hate to let my wife drive mine. Everytime she drives it, I have a hard time getting her out of it to let me drive it. I think she doesn't want to admit that she likes the Vette better than her Mustang.

My wife does not like to drive with the manual. She used to love to drive the 79 with the tops out because she could take them out on her own. She didn't like the 96 because it was no fun for her??? or so she said.
My wife does not care to drive my car. She says the clutch is too stiff, it sits too low, and she knows it makes me nervous, which makes her nervous. That said, she loves to ride in it and we go out two or three nites a week for a cruise. Most nites she will bring a book and sit back and read. She finds the passenger seat very comfortable and often suggets we go for a spin.
