Really curious about the rest of the community. My wife is definitely "...no interest - just doesn't get it". Must be one of those "Men are from Mars" things...
Yep - she drove it once. It scared her to death. Loose steering, the big heavy 454 up front, the rumbling idle, no comfort features (like A/C, anti-lock brakes, cassette/CD, etc.) and the fact that she thinks I might consider divorce if something bad were to happen -- all these contributed to the fact that she now has no interest in driving it.
She got it out of her system.
She doesn't really drive her '94 coupe either. So I have to.
Wife has driven it occassionally -- doesn't like it -- "cannot see good over the front and/or back back fenders" - "to low, hard to get in and out" ---- its just not her Yukon -- go figure
My wife can't drive a stick shift, so she has never driven my Corvette. Having said that, if she could drive a stick shift she probably wouldn't enjoy driving the Vette (too powerful, no creature comforts, bad visibility, etc.).
Never driven the Vette. Drove my 69 Camaro once that I used to have. She said it does not have any power. She was starting off in 3rd gear! She has no interest in cars. She has only riden in it twice in 8 years.
My vette isn't my vette at all. My wife asked me to buy her an older vette for her 50th birthday. I did one better and bought her a 78 before her 46th birthday. I'm having a ball restoring it for her and she lets me drive it once and awhile in return.
Nope. She can't reach the clutch. (She's only 4' 9" tall.) Well, that as well as no power steering and no power brakes makes it a bear to drive slowly.
I have no problems with my wife driving my 'vette but she just doesn't want to, says that she is too scared to. I guess she knows how much I love the car and doesn't want to hurt it . Strange thing is that she never minded driving my other cars that cost so much more
Luckily, my wife hates the Vette, so she has no desire to drive it. She doesn't even like to ride in it for that matter. To hard to get in and out of for her. She is a mini-van kind of gal.
Yep, my wife loves it.....of course I get nervous when she drives it. But the best way to spend $ on a car like this is and not hear complaints is to let her know that it's a partnership deal and NOT just my toy.
Nope. 'Course neither have I!! My wife loved driving my sister's C4 and I didn't. Not enough power OR grace for me. My Lincoln is better, IMO. The wife and I have both raced the Lincoln at Waterford in MI. We both loved it and can't wait to do it again. Hopefully next time will be a Vette.

She can't drive stick, even though I've offered to teach her. And since the car has no air bags nad only lap belts she doesn't like to ride in it at all.
My wife loves to take my '79 out when it's available. She loves the looks all the guys gives especially with the T-tops are off. She's got a little racer in her and it's good to get her out of the mini-van. No mater how cool you think you look in a mini-van, it's just not going to happen.
Drove it once.at 4'11" she said she could not see the front of the car and was worried about hitting something.i had the car before her and she knew i would not be a happy camper if she ran into something.she just happened to be riding with me when i hit a 4 wheel toyota truck that ran a red light. i was doing 65 when i locked up the brakes when i realized he was not going to stop.her comment was " i'm glad i was not driving"
