Just kidding. :p:
Of course, maybe you could argue BB power from a SB package.
Also, I don't see the people who left - leaving because of a lack of
BB topics. That's stupid.
People leave because they lose interest - or get interested in something else.
People also leave due to poor interactions with other people.
Lastly, how can the decreasing prices of 75-up C3s increase forum traffic ?!?!
The number of these cars cannot increase - only lower. Changing
hands may prompt the new owner to find CF - but it is just as likely
that the old owner was once here, also.
So, instead of one C3 forum - we need 5 ?
That's funny. I say 6. There are lots of C3 owners with Mustangs (me too).
Lets start a C3-Mustang board, too. Oh yeah - recently bought a CRX, too ...
Reasons for NOT owning a smallblock.
#1The engine compartment looks empty when they are installed.
#2 Valves the size of dimes.
#3 EVERYONE has one!!!!
#4 Horsepower for a smallblock equals the starting point for cubic inch on a big block.
---------------------
I DO love the 302. I think it is the BEST engine Chevy made in the smallblock line. A race engine for the street. Gotta love that.
What I hate are these "new" crop of bored and stroked "small" blocks.
A 383 is a Plymouth Road Runner engine. If you want an engine like that get a Chevy 396 and then you can use some REAL heads with valves the size of beercans.
-------------------
gas price, parts price, weight.....
Gas???? What the heck is that??? At 13 or 14 to 1 compression, you sure ain't using pump gas. If you can't afford to pay....don't play. Drive a Honda Civic with a big muffler on the back.
Parts price...offset by the stronger and superior parts available for a big block. 2.30 intake and 1.90 exhaust. No smallblock can come close.
Only a hemi has valves in that range.
Weight: Aluminum blocks now available and affordable from sources other than GM. You can have light weight AND killer horsepower.
-----------------
"Of course, maybe you could argue BB power from a SB package"
Laugh clown laugh. The 302 put out as much as, and in many cases MORE horsepower, than most of your smallblock crate engines available today.
-----------------
People leave because they have nothing they can contribute or gain from what is being posted.
--------------------
Dropping prices of the '75 and up C3s bring people who could never afford to own a Vette into the fold...so to speak. A shame they are stuck with a pig as their first Vette though.

Now back to the SPLIT discussion...
Check THIS forum tropic:
"Operation CUPHOLDER (first attempt) "
I can remember when, not too long ago, people would have ripped into anyone posting this. It would indicate a C5-type owner with a C3.
Now we have people giving him an "attaboy" and "way to go".
When did the C3 forum change into the C3/5 forum?
Cupholders, and the guy's seats are slashed and there's a big bash in his door panel. I'm sorry...but I just don't get these new Vette owners.

What does "cojones" mean"
Looking in my Chevy parts manual, I can't locate a part with that name.
Anyone else have a part description for this question. I think the part number is TWO.
SPLIT!!!

Quit living in the past.
BTW only 9 votes separate the decison now. If the forum owner sees benefits to the split it should be done.
9 votes out of over 200 is not significant and the right thing needs to be done.
cup holder guys and

And I can buy 8 Z-28 Camaros (at their 1960s price) for ONE Z-06 Vette. So when yours explodes, I have seven backups.

Of course, with the escalating prices of an original 1967-69 Z-28, it may EXCEED the value of a Z-06 very soon.

DOWN WITH CUPHOLDERS!!!!

Huh?!?!?! Are you using 1967 dollars in this comparison? What was the average salary that year? Compare that to now and then we'll talk economics.
Now what do you think about my 346ci all aluminum SB that puts out ~425hp at the crank? That's net hp. Not gross like the 67-69 tri-power 427s. I can get 25+mpg and it's actually drivable in traffic.
(Dep comes back every month or so, stirs up some s**t and then goes away for another month. Where ya been buddy?)
SPLIT IT!!!!
