Build a REAL engine for your C4 and laugh your *** off at the stupid remarks from the pussfags that make them. A C6 is a better car without question and so is the C5 ****ing duh. If you equal the horsepower the C4 is more fun to drive though
is it me or do negative comments come to c4's from c5,c6 owners?
Ed, this site is legendary for the inumerable, creative ways in which a C4 can be ridiculed and lambasted. You are gonna need a THICK skin around here with a C4, especially on OT!
Drive what you like, like what you drive. Same crap goes on with men about anothers girlfriend. She's to tall or short, to fat or skinny, has a big this or a small that. Tell them to go blank themselves. It's your ride. It's your Corvette too.........
Everyone around here I see driving 97+ Corvette's are 50+ year olds. Never seen younger kid driving Corvette except for my friend and his car was salvaged/rebuilt. So they seem to be nice.
Most guys in my club that own C5s and C6s, have come up through the ranks and either owned a C4 in the past or still own one. Most of the guys know what they are and also know what thier C5/C6 is as well. Facts are Facts, technology has improved cars get better. I get some jeering from a couple of my buddies with newer Vettes, but they admit that they are jealous of the fact that I don't have a problem working on my own car and doing my own work, or that I'm not afraid of modding it, and also that mine is paid for... and I have one other bonus... My wife is hotter than thiers too!
my C4 isn't my favorite generation. Neither is my C3. That doesn't mean I Don't like them.
But....one day....65 Stingray, dropped, with the fattest tires I can stuff under it.
I'll just keep the collection growing.
I was in grade 5 when the 84 came out and I wanted one bad, so I bought one when I was 18, then last year I bought an 85, I love the C4 vettes with the tacky dash, wedge shape body round tail lights, thank God they went back to the round ones. I could purchase any vette, but I like the early C4s, so shot me, I don't care. Just my luck that my favorite vettes are the cheapest, best of both world. L83 & L98.
I don't get any grief and have never heard of it until I logged in here a few years back I could buy a C6 tomorrow and have the latest and greatest without any assache but I like my paid for 93 and if I were to drop 45K plus on a Corvette I would buy one that isn't going to be the NEW "C4" shortly after it's paid for. I would buy a 62.
I was a freshman at UT when the C4 debuted. Still have the March 83 R&T issue dedicated to the C4! i loved it then and love it now! best body style of all!
Today, C4's are the "in the middle" car. Not old, not new which means, "great buy". Stout V8's, ZF's, Dana's, styling, lightweight, nimble, and most of all, fun. It's a wonderful car.
I have two C3's. It wasn't that long ago, C3's were in the same boat as C4's today.
As I've said repeatedly, today, there's not a better performing car for the money, than a C4.
Lastly, a true Vette guy would never bad-mouth another generation. Each generation improved on the previous, using the best engineering of it's day. That's to be appreciated,..not bemoaned.
I think the negative comments about C4s come from all (non C4) generation Corvette owners.
Go pop a Viagra and put the sprinKler on your 58
p.s. the cracks only come from fat old bald bastards and the queer little bitches who would **** themselves if they pulled a 1.4X 60 foot if they could figure out WTF that even is.
