Every scratch will have to be sanded out, primed, block sanded, repainted including blending the paint onto each panel and all panels cleared which is just about the entire Vette. Depending on labor rate in your area, it could cost anywhere from $2500-$10000+

I've seen the same kind of damage on a customers 4 year old Honda when I used to work at my friends body shop and the Insurance company totaled it since the damage exceeded the vehicles worth.

im not looking forward to the shops here. i havnt seen alot of good work comming out of them.
Before you have it fixed, you can take a look at my car in person. Tony Lewis painted in almost 9 years ago, and it still looks damn nice. Granted it's garaged 99% of the time, but it held up well. I do have some slight cracking around the headlights that appeared after about 7 years, but overall I was pleased with the work.

There are a couple of other shops in town that do good work as well. Avoid most of the shops on lower Dyer street and Alameda like the plague.

years ago, a guy threw a rock at my buddies car, and we went back and got him, one of the passengers pulled a tree stake out of the ground and busted most of his bones in his body and then left him to lay and think about treating other people and their things so disrespectfully. (life lesson)

One less to worry about doing that stuff

I got a Springfield Arms XD-40 sub compact. It's almost the same size as my Walther P-22. I like the feel and the small size and it doesn't kick that bad for the short barrel length either.

cylon i LOVE the avvy!

im getting stir crazy here waiting for the final numbers from the adjuster. im hoping they wont try to total the car out after all the time spent to make her look and run good. shes my first vette and wont be the last thats for sure. I cant help but go into the garage and just look at her.

Im not suprised it is in spanish. I live in el paso afterall. Te first night my wife moved intot he house when I was at NTC someone tried getting in the house. Our Boxer koolaid ended that event but ive been well armed since. MP's aid that lst weekend atleast 7 cars in my area were vandalized but mine was the nicest. The MP's were pretty pissed when they saw it.

HONESTLY the only thing that comes to mind is the teenagers I yell at who have no business in military housing who go 40mph through the residential streets while children are outside but then again my whole neighborhood does that.

Good luck with the repairs and I hope the idiot that did it gets his. A pair of broken hands would be good. It does sound like one of our south of the border friends did it. Hopefully someone tosses him back over the fence with a couple of body parts less.

It's Spanish for little pole smokin' mama's boy that vandalizes cars. They feel the need to leave their mark everywhere since they didn't get enough of daddy's love....but may have gotten an overabundance of their uncle's love.

Actually, between buddies, "Puto" is a compliment. Used toward someone else, it is quite derogatory. The female counterpart (puta) is the term for prostitute....you wouldn't call a woman that unless you feel like fighting her entire extended familia.

Shbby...the military housing there is nice and fairly new, but you're just north of Logan Heights, which is a nasty area of town. I go down there to eat at Chicos or Roscoes, but that's about it. I'm betting one of the forementioned cake boys that lives in L.H. is responsible.

Drop me a PM if you want to see my car....I live out in NE in Apollo Heights....I'm less than 10 minutes from you.

My sentiments exactly. Makes you want to rip their ***** out through their throats.
I love driving my vette and can never relax leaving it anywhere but in the garage.
If it weren't for perpetual government assistance, these bottom feeders would be extinct by now.

Man, that sucks! Hope the insurance takes care of the damage. Paint damage is not bad, it's the deep gouges that gets difficult. Good luck!
